Before uploading, please keep the following in mind:
- Need a YouTube account
- With a confirmed email address
- No limit to number of videos, however:
- Video size must be a maximum of 10 minutes
- Will stay up until you remove them
- Must not be copyrighted material or used without permission of owner
- Accepted formats:
“YouTube accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders, and cell phones in the .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats.”

Walk-through on Fulfilling Requirements of Uploading a Video
- In order to upload a video on YouTube, you must sign up for an account.
- If this is the first time uploading, you’ll be asked to verify your email address. Type in your email address and click on ‘Send Email’:
After sending the email, a message will appear:
Followed by an email:
- Clicking on the link in the email will verify your email address and provide you with a confirmation message:
- After signing up and confirming your email address, login and click on ‘Upload Videos’:
- Which finally will bring you to the first out of two pages to upload your video:
