Paul Manata has written a good reflective post on the benefit of interacting with analytic philosophy in the Christian task of constructing a positive theology

I enjoyed reading his summary of the benefit of the discipline of historical theology. I especially enjoyed his discussion about the role of analytic theology.
For my own personal life, I have found that knowledge of philosophy, and doing the work of biblical exegesis have helped improved my thinking to be more clear and precise.
However, I would like to be more familiar with advance logic and engaging of the Word more to make me a better servant of God in the area of theology, ministry, apologetics and Christian living.
