Church history and particularly historical theology are important for the Christians to be aware of, as it tells us where our theology comes from and also lessons for us today!
Our friend Mike has loaded up lectures on church, part of a three part series for 2012.
Here are the lectures:
| 13/02/12 | Gary Brady | The Great Ejection of 1662 | |
| 26/03/12 | Stephen Rees | Axminster after 1662 | |
| 23/04/12 | Jeremy Walker | Latimer – God’s Bulldog |
You can listen to lectures from previous years HERE.
Here are the schedule for 2013 that’s still in the works:
February 11th 2013. Richard Brooks, Octavius Winslow 1808 – 1878
March 4th 2013. Daffyd Morris, Subject TBA
April 8th 2013. Geoff Thomas, Cornelius Van Til

Downloaded all three and checking out the other years also. I love church history.
Is there any era in church history you like to study up on the most brother?
I supposr the would be the Reformation, before during and after. Second would be the history of Calvinism followed by genuine revival and the true marks thereof.
Thanks for the link Jim.
You’re welcome! Thanks for coordinating these lectures!
Thanks for that link, that’s a great listing of church history lessons. I too love church history.
Wow! That’s a lot of interests you have there Lynda…from eschatology to hermeneutics and Bible reading to church history. I mean to say that that is a good thing.
There have been a few lectures that for me really stand out – maybe I should blog some recommendations.
One that springs to mind is the one by Phil Arthur on ‘The Bondage of the Will’. This is a first rate lecture!!! Anything by Paul Cook or John Carrick.
Just work your way through them
