IN 2008, AMERICANS HAVE MORE CONFIDENCE IN THE MILITARY THAN CONGRESS
I’ve been interested in the Annual Gallup poll concerning American’s trust of public institution since I learned about it last year from my Political Science class.
This year’s statistics is up!
http://www.gallup.com/poll/108142/Confidence-Congress-Lowest-Ever-Any-US-Institution.aspx
The highest: The military
The lowest: Congress
I wonder why that’s so…
I have been rather quiet alot on politics and the military lately on my blog, but I’ve been rather proud of our men and women in uniform, and I really do believe that there is a chance for moderate success in Iraq as compared to my thoughts in January of 2007
Having said that, I also realize how things are far from easy, and it grieves me to know guys getting stopped loss and lives being maimed, injured or killed; You can say I have a soft spot when it comes these things and I’ve prayed alot more recently for those in uniform the last two months than before
Disturbing that the poll shows more confidence in the criminal justice system and big business than Congress.
