The apologist Paul Copan recently posted something over at The Gospel Coalition Website concerning Presuppositionalism over here. I have to admit, that as I read it I was rather surprised at the generalization and also what seems to be the lack of Copan’s knowledge of Presuppositionalist’s response to his objection. I thought it was worth writing a response, then I discovered that others have gotten around to it already! So without further ado, here’s a post that offer links to what’s been said in response to Copan. Hope this is helpful.

Jim, Tell me if this makes sense – If I were to prove 1+1 = 2 what would I have to assume in order to prove it. Should I assume it equals 3 when I know full well that it doesn’t. Or should assume it doesn’t equal anything at all – that I also know is not true. Readers will realise straight away that I’m a complete novice at this stuff but it would seem logical for 1+1 to = 2 and to assume anything else would seem to most people to be completely nuts. I’ll just throw that in.
Once again, thanks for the heads up on the links. I’ll probably link to them as well.
Mike, I think you capture the “Covenantal” commitment that believers are obligated to take when it comes to our task in apologetics! For the Christian, there is no room for intellectual schizophrenia of playing all that psychological babble that you just mentioned!
