So a country western star s running for LA County DA?
Haha, not the same guy, just happened that the name is the same.
I knew that, but just couldn’t help myself!
Ha. I didn’t know there was a country singer by that name until you mentioned it; my exposure to country has been limited, and if I was never in the Marines I would have never heard any of it being a city boy in the West Coast…
You are a disadvantaged youth, my friend! Just kidding. I’m not a big fan of the more contemporary CW music and don’t really listen to the older music with the likes of the “Outlaws”. Mot of my listening gravitates to classic hymns and newer music along the lines of the Getty’s that contain really good theology. Have a great weekend!
How do I find the voter’s guide for Sacramento County?
Hey Warren,
Sorry for the delay in responding back. Here’s the link to Sacremento County Christian voter’s guide for elected officials: http://www.electionforum.org/#sacramento-county
Does anyone out there see an eventual split coming between the Libertarians and what I will call the “Christian family values” people in the Republican Party? I feel that the Republican party is “leaving me behind” by adopting a “big tent” mentality, leaving conservative Christians no place to go.
If this split happens, I may be forced to take an “apocalyptic” view of the situation, not vote for certain Republican candidates, and leave the Republican Party to its own devices.
Yes there is that tension within the Republican Party. I would call it less of a Libertarian vs Christian family values voters, and more of the “Country Club” Republicans versus Christian Conservatives. I don’t think the other side of the Republican Party are necessarily all principled driven Libertarians but people who want to protect their money as the only chief motive for being Republican with no cares about Traditional family and being Pro-Life.
If the Republican establishment continues this, they are going to lose a big constituent. I think its sad.
Thanks for commenting by the way! Hope you come back again!
