Here’s a tale of two different published criticisms against religion and two different responses.
First is Newsweek which published “The Bible: So Misunderstood It’s a Sin” against the Christian Bible by Kurt Eichenwald.
The response? Christian apologists writing apologetics’ answer to Kurt’s criticisms. Kurt did complained that Christian apologists have not answered him but instead engaged in name calling but when asked by people for proofs and examples of his claim, Kurt remains silent. But for the sake of the argument, let’s say Kurt’s complaint is true, that there are some low hanging fruit Christians whose response to Kurt is an ad hominem attack.
The second tale of a published criticism against religion is the French publication Charlie Hebdo who have printed satire pieces against Islam. To be fair they also mock Christianity and Catholicism. The response? BBC reports that “Gun attack on French magazine kills 12.“
