I don’t what it is but it seems there are some within the LGBTQ community that is obsessed with politicizing things with cakes and bakery.
Earlier this week a so-called Pastor name Jordan Brown who is a homosexual accused Whole Foods of writing an anti-gay slur on his cake. You can watch his original video here:
It’s turning out that things are not as simple as Jordan Brown claim, and I think its safe to say that his claims are problematic if not down right fraudulent.
Whole Foods has an updated response here on April 18th:
-
Our bakery team member wrote “Love Wins” at the top of the cake, which was visible to Mr. Brown through the clear portion of the packaging. That’s exactly how the cake was packaged and sold at the store. Whole Foods Market has a strict policy that prohibits team members from accepting or designing bakery orders that include language or images that are offensive.
-
Mr. Brown admits that he was in sole possession and control of the cake until he posted his video, which showed the UPC label on the bottom and side of the box.
-
After reviewing our security footage of Mr. Brown, it’s clear that the UPC label was in fact on top of the cake box, not on the side of the package. This is evident as the cashier scans the UPC code on top of the box, which you can view here.
-
We stand behind our bakery team member, who is part of the LGBTQ community, and we appreciate the team members and shoppers who recognize that this claim is completely false and directly contradicts Whole Foods Market’s inclusive culture, which celebrates diversity.
Here’s the security Video that Whole Foods released:
Here’s a local news story that mentioned how Whole Foods is now going to pursue a counter-lawsuit for fraud:
If it is a fraud, I hope Whole Foods’ lawsuit results in him losing his whole savings.
I think Whole Foods’ defense just tell part of the story. There are other parts of Jordan Brown’s videos that raises many other questions about the whole claim about discrimination that just doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Watch this video:
I find it very sad that a supposed pastor would break the Law of God that one should not bear false witness. All to advance an agenda, or to make some money. I don’t know his heart of why he was motivated to lie. But I think of what would have happened if there was not that video footage that demonstrated that Jordan Brown tampered with the cake’s packaging. I shudder to think that an actual person who was his baker, with an actual job as a means of a living might have been affected with this evil stunt. Whole Foods is a company with a certain reputation that if tarnished would have effected their business and therefore others’ livelihood and means of living as well. What’s ironic is that the baker is someone who self-identifies himself or herself as part of the LGBT community, thus the irony that this was going to hurt someone within that community in order for Mr. Brown to advance his agenda.
I can’t help but to wonder what if this was done to a small mom and pop shop with no security camera. Or worst, what if they were Christians and now they are victimized with a lie, a lie that others are willing to believe because of their views, reinforcing a sterotype.
This is evil.
Everyone should call this out.
Jordan Brown shouldn’t be a pastor. He’s disqualified in more ways than one. That evil man should repent to God. And I’m tweeting this to his Twitter account. Repent Jordan Brown, unto the Holy and Living God of the Bible and twist not His ways. Turn to the blood of Jesus Christ for forgiveness and mercy.

Thanks for the reblog Vincent!
You’re very welcome Pastor Jim!

So called pastor is right. He needs to repent.
Amen Roy
Nailed it, thanks
You’re welcome. Thanks for reading this Nathaniel!
This is a sad story in many ways Jim.
Unfortunately stories like this get some traction because it fits a narrative. People who claim they are victims of racism or homosexual discrimination immediately get national attention.
My question is why did he try this at a gay friendly business in ultra-liberal Austin? A sign of extreme desperartion, I think.
The man obviously has some issues and needs prayer.
James
I think its interesting to see more headlines about the story when it first broke versus news story about the truth after it was exposed. Like your question I thought the same thing when I first heard it: Wholefoods? Of all the places, Wholefoods? Already sound unbelievable.
