It’s Sunday Morning. I know sometimes ministry is not easy. So here’s another little motivation from the Word of God for preachers before you enter your pulpit and teachers before you go in to instruct your class.
1 Timothy 2:5-7 states:
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. 7 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
Here’s a question for mediation based upon the passage:
Brothers, do you consider it a privilege to be used by God to bring people to be saved by God?
Note how 1 Timothy 2:5-6 gives us the objective truth of what God through Christ Jesus has done to save sinners. Jesus is the “one mediator” “between God and men” (v.5). How did Jesus became the meditator? Verse 6 supplies the further truth: Jesus “gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.”
Verse 7 transitions to Paul. It is in light of the works of Christ in verses 5-6 that Paul puts his ministry in perspective. Note that Paul was “was appointed a preacher.” He also identities himself as “a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” Yet he was appointed to be one who would teach and preach the works of Christ as described in verses 5-6.
Again, have you consider the great privilege it is to be used by God to bring about people’s salvation?
That should motivate you to teach, preach and serve God in ministry.
Good morning bro Jim, thanks for another great enouragement

I was reminded this week of what a privilege it is for me to assist on the worship team. That God would use my meager-ness to help others focus on Him is, well, nigh indescribable, and I’m sorry to say, some I take for granted.
Wow praise God!
