We have a Catholic friend who also mixes in New Age, Hindu, and Buddhist beliefs. I’m not very knowledgeable regarding Buddhism so I appreciated the article.
It seems these days some Catholics like to mix and match their beliefs with other things. I went to a funeral for someone that was my in-laws’ in-laws and the Catholic priest talked about some “third eye” stuff, that sounded more Eastern religion mystical stuff from how he was using it. But then Catholicism does seem to have a history of syncretism…
