This was a kid’s version of the author’s same book titled “God’s Crime Scene” in which the author J. Warner Wallace presents a case for the existence of God using Classical and Evidentialist’s arguments. When I was reading it I couldn’t put the book down because it was that captivating. The following is my thoughts on the book.
The author uses his background as a law enforcement officer and detective to present to the readers a “forensic” approach towards defending the Christian faith. You got to commend detective Wallace for his creativity and skill of communicating deep truths in a manner that’s easy for kids to understand. Here in this work Wallace presents a fictional story of kids in a cadet program called “Special Investigations Academy” who is mentored by a police detective name Alan Jeffries. As the author mentioned in the preface this character is based upon a real detective who was the author’s mentor. Detective Jeffries definitely is a winsome Christian who patiently explain detective work and methodology while also presenting the Christian case to the kids in the academy. While the book is about the story of a kid name Jason who found an usual box I thought the author did a good job making that a foil for the case for Christianity. Again like I said earlier you got to commend Wallace for his original creativity. Wallace is also a gifted illustrator and I enjoyed these throughout the book. Certainly for kids this book with pictures by Wallace is a big plus. In eight chapters the book tackles different reasons for God as well as tackle some basic objection. I especially enjoyed chapter five “Thinking about Thinking.” Largely because I’m a presuppositionalist I enjoyed how Wallace argues that thinking itself is a proof for God (I do wish at times he was more Presuppositional).
This was a fun book to read. I recommend it.

I need to check this out for my kids! I am a firm believer in teaching apologetics as often and as early as possible. 😊
Let me know what you think of it!

Thanks. Looks like an excellent resource for children. Out of curiosity, I checked out Wallace’s website and I see he has some good articles. Here’s one which examines the belief in the existence of purgatory.

Wow cool I didn’t know how he had an article on that! have you heard of him before?
Wallace was on Greg Laurie’s radio show several months ago promoting his book, “Cold Case Christianity.” These mainstream apologists always tread lightly out of respect for ecumenism so I was surprised to see his article on purgatory. Just for grins, I entered “purgatory” in the search field on Ravi Zacharias’ website and came up empty. Absolutely no surprise there. Whoops, I’m now waaaaaay into the weeds from the subject matter of your post. Sorry!
This is awesome, thank you for the recommendation!

Will do, brother!
Thanks. I bookmarked it on Amazon.
Nice! By the way I forgot to tell you I scheduled your guest post to go live on August 17th (Thursday). I’m going to try to work on posting another of your guest post on August 19th (Saturday) as well too since I would be having a long day of travel to go to the next country to travel which has less internet access.
