I enjoyed this work.  Having been interested with Comics only the last few years I started reading Batman and a few other DC Comics materials during their “New 52” era and was surprised to learn that in the middle of 2016 they stopped the New 52 reboot with a new era company-wide change called “Rebirth.”  This work was helpful in explaining to me what Rebirth is about and the possible direction DC comics is going.

For today’s post we will tackle the question the Skeptic Annotated Bible asked: Did Jesus go to heaven after he died but before his ascension?

Here are the two answers which the skeptic believes shows a Bible contradiction:

Yes, Jesus went to heaven on the day of his death.

“And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”” (Luke 23:42-43)

No, Jesus remained on earth after his death until his ascension.

“Jesus *said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’”” (John 20:17)
