A weekend light reading review, because even Pastors (and apologists) needs a break from heavy reading…

While this particular volume is not the original mid-1990s “Grifter” since this is part of DC Comic’s reboot series called “The New 52!” I thought this particular volume was a great introduction to the character.  Over twenty years ago as a kid I badly wanted to read comics that involved the Grifter since I thought his mask looked kind of cool but I never got around to it until now: twenty years later.  I enjoyed this “introduction.”

Josh McDowell is best known among Christian circle as an Evidentialist apologists and for authoring Evidence That Demand a Verdict among other titles.  Of course if you have read this blog for any time now you would recognize that there are some who subscribe to the school of Presuppositional apologetics.  I don’t mean to downplay the differences between Josh McDowell and Presuppositionalists but this post is about where Josh McDowell and Presuppositionalists agree.  What’s even more surprising is that the subject of agreement is on the topic of the most powerful evidence for the Christian Faith.  And that should make us slow down and reflect more deeply about these matters.
