For today’s post we will tackle the question the Skeptic Annotated Bible asked: Did Jesus perform many signs and wonders?

Here are the two answers which the skeptic believes shows a Bible contradiction:

The Skeptic Annotated Bible’s explanation: “Jesus performed many signs, wonders, and miracles everywhere he went. He was famous for them.”

“And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.” (Mark 16:20)

“this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”” (John 3:2)

“Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;” (John 20:30)

“Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man [a]attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know” (Acts 2:22)

The Skeptic Annotated Bible’s explanation: “Only an evil and adulterous generation seeks signs. And Jesus refused to do any.”

“But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; and yet no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet;” (Matthew 12:39)

“An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah.” And He left them and went away.” (Matthew 16:4)

“Sighing deeply in His spirit, He *said, “Why does this generation seek for a sign? Truly I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.””” (Mark 8:12)

“As the crowds were increasing, He began to say, “This generation is a wicked generation; it seeks for a sign, and yet no sign will be given to it but the [c]sign of Jonah..” (Luke 11:29)

Here’s a closer look at whether or not there is a contradiction:
