On the one hand some of the readers will say it is sad that a book like this is needed. I agree. But on the one hand I also know in seminary for some it is a spiritual cemetery because they saw the Bible as only academic knowledge and other problematic views. For the record I had a great time in seminary with both my masters. It was a great time of spiritual growth in life and in doctrines.
So a book like this is necessary. And while it was written after I graduated and I have yet to read it, I’ve read enough positive review I can recommend it. Fortunately it is not made available for free electronically for a short time: this weekend!

Nice! I was thinking about your son who is in seminary when I was working on this post (among other seminarians I know too as well). I hope this short book is a blessing! Also may you have a blessed Lord’s Day!
I downloaded it as well. Seems like I could have used this when I was in university. Journalists can be rough on Christians too.
That’s true. I can imagine how it can be quite hostile towards Christians. I remember in 2014 reading only seven percentage of news reporter were Republicans; I imagine the amount of Bible believing Christians is even less. I still can’t believe the actual amount Progressives in the media!
Yeah, I majored in Media when I was in college, and have some theories as to why the media went from being considered conservative to the liberal broadcasters in the 70’s and 80’s. I’ll have to gather my notes and post them sometime. I think I worry that it would be a looooooong post though.

It wasn’t all that long ago that I listened to a man who said he became an atheist at seminary. It’s sad that this is happening, but I praise God you had such a great education! Thank you for sharing this, if I come across someone heading to seminary I’ll have this at the ready.
Wow sad to hear someone becoming an atheist in Seminary; my own journey was that Seminary humbled me but also it was a time of growth sprout but spiritually and intellectually. I just prayed for for that individual atheist…
May the Lord bless you, Pastor!
I am just beginning my journey as a female in seminary, and I need to look into this book!
