The Spider-Man post was really good
Thanks for this listing! I’m going to queue up “The Biblical Worldview Against All Others – Dr. Paul Henebury” and “How To Witness To Skeptics from Southern New Jersey Apologetics Conference” for this week at work. “Minnesota @ tOSU Ministry Report – Oct 13, 2018” is a good reminder that evangelization work often requires some planning and preparation. I also enjoyed revisiting that that Bible-Spider-Man meme debunking.
Thanks for reading all that. I hope the videos would be a blessing for your week at work! I’ve been blessed to see this week people share different posts on our blog. Truly humbled. Keep up the good work on your blog, I’m going to eventually get to your post on answering Mr. Armstrong, something I look forward to that every Monday!
Thanks! This week and the next couple of installments Armstrong gets down to the crux of the differences, the Gospel of grace vs. the Catholic salvation system of sacramental grace and merit. As we’ve discussed before, an unsaved person can read through the Bible ten times and conclude salvation is merited. The Holy Spirit opens the eyes of the spiritually blind to the Gospel.
Thanks for the links as always brother Jim.
You’re welcome! Good morning! But for me after finishing my post, working out and last minute reading, its good night!
Sleep well, friend.
I find Presuppositionalism stimulating in a good way
One thing I learn from Sye and others is how Presuppositional apologetics is so adaptive to use with anyone, from the university professors to the illiterate and every day people and people of other religion or atheist.
Get me some Presuppers in the house!
Literally listened to Sye Ten Bruggencate last week from Youtube video and found your blog this afternoon
I’m glad to found these readings
I wish critics would understand the “circular argument” issue was better understood by atheists and classical apologists
Mike Robinson is definitely a powerhouse that needs to be taken seriously
Nice photo
Definitely looking forward to reading this. There are some excellent explanations for a novice like myself! Thank Jim for sharing.
Van Til was an underrated Christian apologist. I mostly prefer Bahnsen to Van Til since Bahnsen was easier to understand
Ugh the struggle to be up to date with apologetics. And then to see how dismissive some are with Presuppositional apologetics. I’m honestly amazed by the number of average, mediocre dudes who haven’t achieved half of what Van Til and Bahnsen has done and they throw tantrums that Presuppositionalists are ignorant
Reform apologetics! I can tell it was a little different!!!
Just got into an argument with an atheist on Facebook who runs a skeptic page! Got to use TAG! It’s quite obvious that the atheist didn’t arrive at his conclusion because of rigorous study, examination and discussion. This is obvious because he can’t even articulate very basic components of the Christian faith accurately. Seems more like he’s bitter and angry so he’s going to play that role of the I’m-a-superstar-Christian-and-turned-atheist-lolz role. If he wasn’t he’d seek to discuss with people charitably and hear them out, reason with them, etc.
I appreciate all the things you say and post! For the brother who say this is new for him. Read Always Ready the book. It is a good book. Yes, it is a rehash of some things we long time followers have often heard from Bahnsen. But it was a blessing to read it again.
The word of God will set you free and bring you to a greater Knowledge if God. Hallelujah Amen 🙏
