If you have been following our blog this last week you would know I have written twice on the response of some to the death of missionary John Allen Chau who was killed reaching out to an unreach tribe off the coast of India.
My first post was titled “John Allen Chau and North Sentinel Island.” My second post was titled “Double Standard of the “Christian” Left Concerning John Allen Chau.”
I made this meme to capture my response to the spirit of this day and age with the inconsistency of the world’s attack on John Allen Chau:
Sorry, I can’t click Like on this, but I feel Kaepernick is a disgrace.
No worries brother, no hard feelings that you can’t click like. By the way this post is not to condone Kaepernick per se but I hope it is clear its to show the double standard of the Left on the one hand commending someone doing what they believe even if others don’t like it while on the other hand bashing someone that did what they believe even if others don’t like it. Hope that makes sense? Have a good day GP Cox you have been more than charitable with my posts =)
Don’t think it’s supporting that guy who takes a knee
Just showing his picture and giving him ‘air time’ to him is a win.
You have a point there. The Left is inconsistent here.
Good one! That’s right, double standards abound.
Glad you got it what I was trying to say, I was getting worried this morning when I woke up that maybe I might not have explained enough what I was trying to get at and people get confused and focus on politics which is not the aim of this post. Thank you for communicating that you see the double standards of the “Christian” Left here. Hope you are having a good day, I’m looking forward to reading book reviews from you sometime this week!
Thanks! Yup, I’m having a good day and hope you are, too! Got my work done for work then went outside and dragged the last 8 tarps of leaves to the curb despite very adverse conditions. I’ll be posting about that. Book reviews? Just by coincidence I posted this morning about the bear of a book about the NYC waterfront I finished. Tomorrow, I have an LSH review scheduled.
A great and creative response Jim!
And is it just me…. but I prefer Mr. Kaepernick with his hair much shorter…as in this image rather than now with the full-blown fro….but, of course, I wish Clay Matthews would also cut his hair…and so in that way, no progressive liberal can call me out as a racist or a hater of one team over another as I spread the wish for shorter neater hair to all races and teams and therefore I keep it all equitable. : )
I like shorter hair in general too for men. Yesterday I was evangelizing in a college campus and one of the guys with me is a young man in my church who just got done with the Marines. He’s of an ethnic background that’s neither black nor white.
He’s been growing his hair long and I actually told him he should get a hair cut. I may or may not have said “shave that mop!” Since we’re both Marine vets we both laugh as he knew where I was coming from. So like you I am not a racists too with the idea of short haircut. I hope you are doing well and get to see the Mayor this week or sometime this upcoming month?
I don’t care what one’s ethnicity is— I like a man with neatly trimmed hair — I like beards but not a ZZ Top ridiculously long or braided bread— again neat and becoming— it speaks quietly of feeling good about one’s self and presentation to others— hope to see the mayor next weekend 🤗
Great meme. The “Christian” Left attacks people like him because they are reminded that they never share the real Gospel with anyone.
Sometimes they even have a false Gospel…right?
TY. This should be theme of all of God’s children.
Yes, that perfectly illustrates the double standard
Thanks for your thoughts brother! I appreciate your posts exposing the double standards of those attacking Christianity too
Love this. Great way to say it.
Ha! I like this meme. Hypocrisy sure abounds in certain circles.
I get myself into a great deal of trouble with both the right and left on this, but as Christians I really think we need to honor those who stand in the power of their convictions, even if we disagree with them. Our faith as a long history of martyrdom, of people hearing God and obeying Him. We can disagree with people like Kaepernick, but we should still honor the act of standing in your convictions. Far too often we see someone doing that and we mock, ridicule and shame them, like armchair quarterbacks. They are our Christian brothers and sisters, and while we may not always support their cause, we should still honor their courage.
I think I get it. So, the left feels it’s okay to sacrifice your career if it’s anti establishment, but if you sacrifice your life to spread The Gospel, something’s wrong with you. I will admit that I had to do a little research to know what was going on though. I don’t follow sports too closely.
You got it. The double standard of the Left as shown by Nike’s controversial ad…
Reblogged this on Talmidimblogging.
Thanks for the reblog brother!

Somebody smart recently said, “so John Allen Chau’s blood was shed. That’s a promise the Sentinel islands have now been claimed for Christ.” And instantly my mind was at ease, and all is well with my soul, because it really is as simple as that. Why then do we have so many Christians who insist on creating all this drama, angst, misery, and woe, endless anxiety over racism, colonization, some man’s alleged “foolishness”? I am chuckling here, but those people are simply distressing the women and children and need to knock it off.
I like what you quoted from that smart person.
My husband last night pointed out if critics today should ask for the Apostle Paul’s immunization records before he did his missionary trips.
