In continuing with our blog’s “wee-kids Wednesdays” here’s a review of a Christian Children’s book.

Ken Ham and Cindy Malott. Answers Book for Kids Volume 3: God and the Bible.  Green Forest, AK: Master Books, March 27th 2009. 48 pp.

5 out of 5

Purchase: Amazon

This is the third volume in the Answers Book for Kids series written by Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis and published by Master Books.  My kids and I enjoyed the first two (review here and here) so we went forward to read together the third volume.  This particular book focuses on God and the Bible.  This book and others in this series uses a question and answer format in response to twenty two questions from kids.  I did not say this in my previous reviews but it stood out to me that when the book mentioned the kids’ age that asked the question it helped my kids realized they weren’t the only ones asking questions and this observation I hope leads them to think more about God and the Bible.  I appreciated that Ken Ham works with his co-author Cindy Malott to respond to these questions in a way that kids would be able to understand.  Before you make light of them I realized as a pastor and evangelists that some of these questions are also questions that adults asks.  I don’t doubt some parents will benefit from this themselves!

This is a Christian Home School Lesson Series for first graders on the 50 United States.

I typically go over two states at a time since we teach our kids multiple subjects during the day and two states at a time seems to be enough.  However if one is teaching one subject at a time I think going over four states at a time would be just right.

Our series’ lesson plan will be in alphabetical order and go over four states at a time.

Are there any other interesting facts you would add for any of the states mentioned?  Feel free to leave a comment!
