This is from last year’s conference which they have just made available online for others to benefit from. It is sponsored by P&R Publishing (among others), which is one of my top favorite Christian publisher. The conference is called “Faithful Shepherd Pastors’ Retreat” and last year’s theme was on “The Welcoming Church.”
What is the purpose of this conference?
This is their stated purpose:
We’ve all had the experience of visiting a church that seemed indifferent—sometimes outright unfriendly! That’s probably not the culture you want for the church, yet unhelpful mindsets and practices can take hold unnoticed. Eventually even fellow believers may start to feel like outsiders, and the congregation misses out on opportunities to serve and grow.
How can you foster an environment that incorporates all believers into your worship and church life? Healthy ministry requires intentionality, a conscious remembrance of the Gospel so that pastors, church leaders, and churches themselves don’t drift away.
The Faithful Shepherd Pastors’ Retreat is an affordable regional event for pastors, elders, ministry leaders, and their wives. Our goal is to give an opportunity to rest, connect, and enjoy God’s creation, while bringing you practical wisdom and encouragement. Come, remember the Gospel, and celebrate with us.

This is a stunning resource. Can’t wait to make my way through them.

Thank you !
You’re welcome! Have a blessed Friday sister (I’m assuming you are sister).
Haha yes!
Thanks, brother! I was able to listen to the first video from Joe Novenson while working this morning and it was excellent – in a convicting kind of way! 🙂
Glad to hear that! I’m going to email you something and to Wally. Let me know when you get the email.
Will check it!
