It’s a shame that the Minor Prophets in the Old Testament is often neglected and ignored.
Here’s our series of outlines surveying the Minor Prophets in the Old Testament.
Survey of the Book of Hosea
Survey of the Book of Joel
Survey of the Book of Amos
Survey of the Book of Obadiah
Survey of the Book of Jonah
Survey of the Book of Micah
Survey of the Book of Nahum
Survey of the Book of Habakkuk
Survey of the Book of Zephaniah
Survey of the Book of Haggai
Survey of the Book of Zechariah
Survey of the Book of Malachi
Great resource. Thanks for putting these together for us.
Great job on that series. You need to read the minor prophets — and the rest of the Bible — because you’ll see the authors countless times in Heaven and it will be really awkward every time you see Amos if you never read his book :-).
Thanks for this summary post! I was blessed by these lessons on the Minor Prophets.
You’re welcome! I spent a lot of time on researching and teaching these lessons, especially in seeing how it connects with the Gospel and Christ! The pastors I taught earlier this year in a persecuted country were blessed by the lessons, it will be one of my joys and humble privilege I’ll remember for my lifetime and eternity…
I’m grateful to the Lord that you were able to deliver those messages to the pastors. I’m sure they will always remember your visit and the core truths of your messages.
Wow thanks for the all in one reference
You’re welcome!! Should I say good morning, afternoon or good night (sleep) to you? lol I know you have crazy and busy schedule with everything. Praying for your test today
Ty for remembering. It’s in 15 min lol
My husband and I were talking in passing last week and I asked him about the Minor Prophets. His response, “I read the Minor Prophets last year.” I agree, it is a shame the Minor Prophets (other than Jonah) are neglected and/or ignored. Thanks for sharing all these outlines, great work!
Wow sounds like you two are both readers of Scripture. Is there an area of Scripture you want to write your dissertation on for you PHD?
Jim, I hope you don’t regret asking me this! I haven’t narrowed it down yet. First choice: I would love to do my dissertation on the Levitical Laws, Priesthood and/or Holiness Code. While this may not seem very interesting to most folks, I feel compelled to preserve this part of Scripture. Without a proper understanding of the Levitical Laws, Priesthood, and Holiness Code it is difficult to know how Christ fulfills the Law and Prophets. Without this knowledge it is exceedingly difficult to understand what the writer of Hebrews is saying. Second choice would be Wisdom Literature and its relevance for today and Third would be on James practical theology and wisdom. If you can’t tell, I am an OT girl. 70% of the Bible is written in Hebrew. The more I learn about the OT, the more I am thankful for what Jesus has done for us!
Thank you for this, brother!
I appreciate you sharing these teaching outlines, they are well done.
TY.:)
