This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Serve Everyone.
Serve everyone you said?
Maybe you think “I can serve some, but do you really mean everyone at church?” You might think of how you can serve certain individuals. And maybe there’s a list of people you feel you can’t serve for whatever reason. But is it biblical the idea that one be willing to serve everyone?
Hear Mark 10:44: “and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all.” This is Jesus’ words. Jesus said if you desire to be first you should be willing to serve others. Specifically “all.”
It might not be every single individual you have the chance to serve today at church but you should be willing to serve anyone and everyone if and when the opportunity arrive.
So go to church with the desire of serving as many people as possible. Not the least as possible. Not the minimum but the maximum amount possible.
This is not easy. Pray for God to grow your heart to love the church to be willing to live this out. But I believe God can change our heart.

Amen. This post is important for somebody like me. Thank you for this!
You’re welcome, glad it minister to you. How was your Lord’s Day today? Also congrats on your milestone of 10,000. Good night for now (gotta sleep)!
It was great! We were blessed to hear a message about the Parable of the Sower. And thank you!! I’m happy to reach 10,000! Good night, Pastor Jim! 🙂
Amen.
Such a necessary word for us today! It might seem overwhelming in a big city church but hopefully I’ll go this morning with this: “I’m available to You Lord.”
Thank you brother, God bless you!
Praise the Lord! I imagine you go to church in NYC?
Yes, we go to Times Square Church. Just heard a powerful message by Pastor Nick Cassidy from Ireland.
We’re praying for God’s guidance in serving Him. Even considering your word, “servant of all”.
God bless you Pastor!
Convicting, motivating and well said! Blessings!
Thanks. Was busy with ministry this weekend…wanted to ask earlier when your husband got out of the Army?
Hi Jim! I meant to respond to you as well! Nathan has been out of the Army for almost 5 years. I’m so encouraged by how God has used you these past eleven years!

Friends, who are you looking to serve this morning? If it’s us, we are wrong. Serve God and others. Great post bro Jimmy
Thanks for the reblog hope you had a blessed Sunday
We did. How about you all?
Reblogged this on a simple man of God and commented:
Church is not about us. Church is about us celebrating Christ in every possible way.

I love this advice, brother, thank you! Please be in prayer for my home church. In our recent trip back we found that where it once leaned charismatic it is now full blown health, wealth, and WoF healing. My heart is breaking over it. The one good thing was that Kayliegh, so discouraged by the change, told me she needed to read Scripture more so that she would not be deceived when she grew up. She said she’s looking forward to church this morning, back in WA, where we’ve found a wonderful Reformed Baptist congregation. It renewed her appreciation for the solid teaching and preaching we receive here.
Wow I just prayed for this church. That’s sad to hear if it’s direction. I’m glad to hear your daughter practicing discernment…and that this is a moment for you guys to teach her. Do you fly back tomorrow?
We’re home now, we flew into Seattle and made the long drive back Wednesday night. I was a little bummed, we were right by the Creation museum over there and didn’t get a chance to stop! Maybe next time. Thank you for praying for that church, my friend. We hadn’t been home for a Sunday service in a year, so much can change in a year.
Never saw this verse in this way before with the word “all.”
Amen.:)
Amen! Just finally got to sit down after a weekend of speaking and teaching six times on six different subjects. I’m finally able to relax after trying to apply what I wrote for this post: serve everyone. Thank you so much for your prayers for this crazy weekend Maw-Maw!
Please rest, my Grand. Take care of self so you may take care of others. 🙂
Thank you again, Jim. I am loving what you are instructing us for the body of Christ. Blessings for your week.
Thank you for the exhortation to desire to serve everyone and not just a few!
You’re welcome! How was your Sunday?
Good brother, thanks, and I hope yours was, too! We had a couple of get togethers with our oldest son and his crew so very busy. Church was a blessing!
Amen! Only through God may I serve others.
Good wisdom in this post. The ability to do this is when we know whether of not we love others as we should.
Agreed, it’s a metric to see how much we do love the way Jesus wants us to love. Thank you also for the reblog!
My pleasure, Jim!
