First book review to kick off the year and consistent with our “Wee-kids” Wednesdays here’s a review of a children’s book that’s coming out in March 2020.
Tim Ladwig. Stories Jesus Told: Who Is My Neighbor? Grand Rapids, MI: Discovery House, March 3rd 2020. 32 pp.

Want a children’s story book on Jesus’ parable of the “Good Samaritan?” This is one I would recommend. I’m glad I got to read this to my children!
I like that the written part of this book comes straight from the Bible itself from the Gospel of Luke. What better things for kids to hear that God’s Word directly for themselves! I appreciate this being a picture book of Scripture! The artwork is beautiful and big enough for the kids to look at and have the story sink in. Since I have read some Christian children book that have artwork too abstract and at times even weird that made me appreciate the realism of this book’s illustration.
I read this a few times to the girls. Each time the book has their undivided attention. They also ask questions about the story itself and also the illustration. I got to even talk to them about the geography portrayed in the book! That’s detailed and as a Pastor I appreciated the attention to details of even caves and hills in the area of travel between Jerusalem and Jericho.
I highly recommend this. Get it for your family or as a gift!
NOTE: This book was provided to me free by Discovery House and Net Galley without any obligation for a positive review. All opinions offered above are mine unless otherwise stated or implied.

Happy New Year! How is 2020 thus far for you?
Thank you it’s been good today. My day was good how was your day?
another good one.
Thanks for all you do provide us great resources. Our children’s programs appreciate this. Blessings.
Sounds like a great book, might even look into the author’s others.
Thanks for your edifying posts Pastor. May the Lord order all our steps and reveal Himself in greater measure in this New Year.
Thanks for the review of what looks like an excellent book for kids. I don’t know why in the world some people think kids would like modern abstract art/illustrations.
I don’t know why either! Praying for your job search this morning.
Thanks, brother! Today I applied for a warehouse supervisor change at Amazon. The process took about an hour and was ridiculously demanding. A personality test and the whole works. Waaaaaay overdone. I told my wife it felt like I was applying to the CIA.
Thanks for this!!!
You’re welcome and have a blessed New Year!
I’m planning on it🙏🏻 You are your family also!!!
Cool! Can’t wait for them to publish it. It looks good. Looked at their pictures on amazon.
