LUKE 11:1-2b

1 It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.” 2 And He said to them, “When you pray, say:

   ‘Father, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
3 ‘Give us each day our daily bread.
4 ‘And forgive us our sins,
For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation.’”

Main point: Before going into further principles in this series on prayer, we will see Jesus laying three important building blocks so that you will pray to God.

  1. You should pray (1-2a)
  2. You should pray with others (2b)
  3. You should pray intimately (2c)

Are you thinking about going to seminary to study to be a Pastor?  Even if you are not going to seminary but you are a Christian who loves God, do you know someone who is thinking about going to seminary but might be working through the issue of finance?

Here are ten practical things that I found helpful to get through Seminary when the finances are hard.  They were things that I personally found helpful to make it through my Master’s of Divinity (MDiv) and Master’s of Theology (ThM).   While there’s personal responsibility I also realize it was God’s grace that provided for me and also the means of others who showed me love and help along the way too.
