For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Encourage Men to Be Biblical Fathers.
Consider this verse: “Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.“ (Proverbs 22:6 ). This verse shows the importance of parenting. This including dads being a biblical father. How much of our world’s problems and headlines today is the result of the lack of a father in people’s lives?
According to a US government study in 2014 “Related children living in female-headed families with no spouse present had a poverty rate of 45.8 percent, over four times the rate of children in married-couple families (9.5 percent)” (Source). Over in Europe in 2003 “European researchers reveal that the risks facing children living with one parent may be even more widespread and immediate. They found the risk of suicide was more than twice as high among children in one-parent households compared with those living with both parents” (Source). We could go on.
If you are a father reading this, realize you have an important role. As a father I encourage you to live out your Christian faith as a father! Then also encourage other men in your church to be biblical fathers.
Today in the US its Father’s Day. What better time to begin encouraging others to be biblical fathers.
You can encourage others by telling them what you see they do well in; and to encourage them to keep on doing it. You can also encourage others with verses. There’s discouraged dads out there. Encourage them with God’s grace in the Gospel. Let that be a motivation for us all to pursue our responsibilities as dads!

Happy Father’s Day, Jim!
These are good marching orders, Jim, to do for my brother, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Aww that’s good to do with family and relatives. How was your Sunday brother Gersom?
Just a typical Sunday, Jim! 🙂
I’m praying for if/when I become a father, that I am a great Godly man. I’ve seen the effects of fatherless and bad fathers in my own youth group unfortunately. So I understand the ramifications of this unfortunately. Happy Father’s Day!
Your comment reminds me of the days as a youth pastor; I see it too what you are talking; still do even as I pastor families and couples. You would definitely see its effect. Have a blessed day, are you teaching the youths today?
We are waiting a few more weeks to start having youth service until we know more about what the COVID is going to do. Hopefully we can start again real soon
Happy Father’s Day Jim! Thank you for this encouraging word brother.😁👍
You’re welcome! Is it Father’s Day too in Scotland?
Very much so Jim…praise the LORD for it! 👍
Thanks for the good exhortation! Fathers have such a big influence on their children, for good and for bad. May the Lord help us to be good examples. Happy Father’s Day!
Happy Father’s Day! How long is the drive to your son’s place?
Thanks! He’s just 5 miles away. Just chillin’ in the AC until we go over there at 3. Close to 90F today. Enjoy your family today!
Amen !! Happy Father’s Day to U !! 🙂
Blessings in Christ, bruce
Thanks for the encouraging word.
Love this: “Let that be a motivation for us all to pursue our responsibilities as dads!”
Happy Father’s Day

Happy Fathers Day
I am probably late !😊 is not Fathers Day here .
Hope you had a wonderful time with your family
Thanks!! Is there a Father’s Day during another day of the year for you guys?
We celebrate Father’s Day the first Sunday in September.😊
Happy belated Father’s Day to you. I trust that you had a wonderful day yesterday.
Aww thank you sister. How was your Sunday?
My Sunday was great. I hope you are enjoying your week.
This is awesome, couldn’t agree more.
Yes yes yes! Churches need to do this more. I’m a woman who want to marry a Godly man but it seems so few are husband and future father material
During my final ten years of teaching in an inner city school in Ohio, I witnessed countless children without a fatherly presence at home. It was such a huge change from my previous 30 years of teaching.
