Our “This Sunday” series will be another a Corona Virus edition. For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Share a Link to an nonbeliever to your church online service.
We are called to share the Good News: “But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.“ (2 Timothy 4:5). It is not easy in the days of Corona Virus, social distancing and quarantine. I haven’t gotten to evangelize college campuses like I use to, for obvious reason.
So I pray for opportunities. Largely I minister one on one via the phone and text and social media. And those are my evangelism opportunities too.
While things are far from ideal I also think it is worth while to share the link to your church’s online church service, be it livestream or a Youtube channel or Facebook watch party or Zoom. This is not a substitute to actually sharing and explaining the Gospel to someone but this is an opportunity to further reinforce your evangelism effort: Share a link today!
Thank you for this call to action, Jim! We have many opportunities to do it in this internet of things.
You’re welcome! I hope this stir people to make the most of the opportunities God has given to evangelize! Don’t know how long we have here on earth, you ever feel that urgency?
Yes, Jim, when we listened to news updates and statistics on this recent pandemic alone and the future or aftermath of this, makes us think of our mortality and how temporary/transient this life in this world is.
Reblogged this on a simple man of God and commented:
Our small church has a limited amount of space for Zoom watching, but ia link is often shared online each Sunday.
Otherwise, we do upload the sermons to our website [ ChurchNextDoorAZ.com ], and when I preach I also upload at least the audio (and often my notes) here on my blog. (Probably later today, in fact!)
Live is best, online is great, and recordings are also good.
“Preach the Word. Be ready in season and out of season.” (2 Timothy 4:2a)
Daniel
Thank you for 2 Timothy 4:2a……BE READY.
All we need to do is fill our mind with God’s Word and the Holy Spirit will bring out the ammo we need when we need it. I will add that verse to my facebook page as a reminder.
What a great idea to help spread the good news of Jesus. Blessings.
Thanks for the good exhortation! We need to look for (and pray for) opportunities to share the Good News.
You are welcome! I wonder if in a few years we look back and think what an opportunity we had In 2020. I think the days are getting darker and we must be busy with the Father’s task even as things seem hectic. Let me know how Sunday livestream go today yeah?
The Sunday sermon was excellent, about the Second Coming of Christ. How was your service today?

You never know where the eyes of an unbeliever will go….what their ears will hear. It is the Spirit that does the work in them. Always pray and always be planting seeds (leaving links). Good reminder and affirmation for me Jim. Thank you!
Amen to your comment Cushn4! Seems maybe as we watch the news helpless maybe there are things we can do spiritually by sharing the Gospel which is the hope our country needs amen? Just prayed for your blogging effort will be used by the Lord!
Blessings and thank you for taking so much time on me. I see you are very busy. I love to write about the hope that I have in Jesus but wish my life had been a better witness for him. It kind of spoils my testimony for those closest to me who know me. I know I am forgiven, but like Paul of Tarsus, I too have to live with my remorse. Jesus took my guilt away. When I hear the accusations…which is often, I know they are only from Satan.
It feels helpless to watch the news of senseless violence and destruction. But a least this will
This is a good idea, especially for people who might hesitate to visit a church full of strangers. This way they can check out the church without having to encounter people they don’t know, which some people find intimidating. (One person’s “friendly” is another person’s “pushy.” 😉 )
Amen.
Hey dear brother. I’ve deleted my FB account, and therefore will not see you there. Keep up the good work. You can always touch base with me through Email or phone .
I will blog (resources and quotes) on this page:

YES! Perhaps Jesus is helping us to understand that we are to meet people where they are, outside OUR normal. Yes, it’s a different way but the truth is this generation loves technology and we have to witness to them there…and pray for the Holy Spirit to move and for more personal contact come out if it. We may only plant a seed or water and may never know that we did…but must trust God to bring the increase. Thanks for this post.
Thank you ! We do need to look and pray for opportunities to share the gospel in these dire times we live in .
Sharing a link to the church service is a great idea.

Our pastoral team encourages us to share our virtual worship. God is finding ways to open other ways to evangelize during these challenging times.
