Would you like a children’s book that touches on God’s omniscience? This book then might be worth your while. Author and artist Jan Sprivey Gilchrist presents us a book on how God is all knowing, and how that is relevant for young children. Gilchrist largely does that by drawing from our own childhood. I love that.
I must say the last year I’ve appreciated the children’s book published by Our Daily Bread Publishing. This is what led me to consider to read this book to my children. The book is based upon Psalm 139 and I appreciated that it is trying to be Bible based. The author being an African American also illustrated this work in a way that reflected that. I thought that was neat.
The book’s water coloring will be fun for kids to look at. I enjoyed how the colors set the mood that corresponded to the mood with the words in that page. Kids will have fun with the book and parents will appreciate it being biblical and God-focused. I recommend this book!

Looks like an interesting book to give for Christmas, Jim! Thank you for the review.
Wow that’s a good idea for this as a Christmas gift! Adults can benefit from studying and mediating on the omniscience of God. I enjoy studying God’s attributes and how it’s practical. Isn’t God lovely and glorious when we study Him for who He is? 🙂
Yes, the Triune GOD definitely is and His glory magnified when we study His word and realized that it was He all along who sustains and saves us.
Thank you for this review. What a joy that they published such lovely biblically based books for,the little ones.
Thanks for this “light” book review. It’s wonderful for adult believers to contemplate God’s omniscience. He knows ALL about me and STILL loves me. It’s also comforting to know He is sovereign over the crazy present and the unpredictable (from our perspective) future.
Good point about God’s attributes being practical and relevant even for adults! I was just commenting to others on here of how God’s attributes and in particular His omniscience is important for even adults to meditate upon! Had a long day yesterday with my long range distance pastoral Visitation so today I’m just at home going slow and working on sermons. What does your day look like thus far? Just prayed for you this morning in between things.
Glad you’re getting some down time. Thanks for your prayers! I prayed for all your ministries. Have to paint 1/4 of the house this month and I’m currently doing some prep work. Hope to start painting in a few more days.
Lovely review.
Thank you for reading this review Maw Maw! Hope the kids and grandkids are doing well this week
So far, Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your review SlimJim! My favorite part about this book is illustrations ☺️.
The illustration does look beautiful!
Didn’t know that Our Daily Bread published children’s books.
Sounds like a neat book!
Cool.
