Thanks for keeping this great resource going.
Some exciting stuff on today’s list, my friend!
Thanks for another listing! I will check this out later. Began painting early today and taking a lunch break. How’s your day look?
Up with time with girls and soon about to start sermon prep as I’m behind with all those ministry talks last night! What’s for lunch??
Have a good day!
RE: lunch
A Zweigles’ white hot with meat hot sauce and a bowl of Top Ramen chicken flavor ramen noodles. A meal fit for a king!
Reblogged this on My Logos Word.
Thank you pastor Jim.
You’re welcome! How was the Lord’s Day, what did the preacher preached on? I hope the rest of your Lord’s Day is relaxing!
Hello Pastor Jim, hope all is well on your side of the world .
Our pastor is preaching on the book of Genesis. He did verse one last week and verse two this week.
Fascinating!
May the Lord bless your Lord’s day in all you do.
I listened to Mike Robinson’s video on the Hume and Aquinas book although most of the discussion was over my head. Robinson’s discussion of the Aquinas book was too brief. I get why evangelical academics focus on Aquinas because of his position as a Western philosopher and a classical “apologist,” but he’s very problematic with all of the Catholic doctrines he defended.
I also enjoyed the arguments for pre sup in NO APOLOGIES, PLEASE, especially the analogy of taking a hundred-story plunge with a suicidal person.
Darwinism Is in Tension with Human Rights made some good observations about morality in the COVID-19 pandemic, like who gets the limited respirators? I bought a thick book about the popularity of Social Darwinism and eugenics in the early-1900s, but gave it away before I read it.
Wow thanks for going through this! By the way the book on Aquinas is a negative critique by a Van Tillian. There was a strong negative response by the pro-Aquinas camp to the book, not surprised there. But I thought the book brought up some good points. I don’t know if you read my review of that book before in the past, I forget: http://bit.ly/2AzdnBl
Yup, I read your good review and I remembered the particular book. I always become a bit wary when evangelicals look to Aquinas because some have crossed the line and become unapologetic Thomists like Gerstner, Sproul, and Geisler.
I had a feast reading this
“This actually helped me to get more of what Covenantal Apologetics is about
