Thanks, as always. This one looks interesting: “Can we Trust the Bible?”
Thank you for this new list of links, Jim! GOD bless you and your family!
You are welcome! How was your Sunday? The other day I was driving in Southern California and saw a big corporate building with the symbol of Jolly Bee. I have seen a few Jolly Bee here and there but never knew how many there is to have such a big corporate building! Haven’t had it In years. It led me to think tangent and think of you in the Philippines. Anyways have a good morning when you wake up reading this brother!
The jolly bee (Jollibee) goes where Filipinos (by ancestry) goes, as they say. There are jollibugs (endearment name for this fast food chain) in CA and IL. You should try again, Jim, I’m not so sure what is their menu for the US. I listened to Lutzer last Sunday.
Thanks for another listing. I tried reading 1.) Thomas Aquinas on Analogy | Analogy Part 2, but it was over my T-101 head. However, I did listen to the Cave to the Cross guys’ final episode on Greg Koukl’s “Tactics,” which I enjoyed. This is not a criticism of the C2TC guys, but they mention how Lee Strobel wrote the intro to this book. Strobel, of course, is quite upfront in his books about his embracement of the RCC as a Christian entity. I see Koukl is an ex-Catholic. One of these days I’m going to have to listen to Koukl’s interview of his good friend, Francis Beckwith, who “converted” to Roman Catholicism.
To summarize the Aquinas article the sense Van Til used the word “analogy” is not the same as Aquinas and Aquinas idea has problems with his starting point of assuming the semi-autonomy of man, the empirical first, etc. The brother who wrote this really poured a lot of energy and research into it! How is your leaf operation I hope this blower you are using is helpful
RE: Aquinas
It was always interesting to me that so much of Catholic seminarians’ training was devoted to Aquinas and Aristotle.
Leaves: Yup, it was another nice day. Collected and dragged four tarpfulls and then cut the backyard hopefully for the last time. 13K steps.
How’s your day off going?
I enjoyed the Science one about the problem of neutrality and reductionism
