For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Reach out to a Missionary.
Even as we are busy with our own lives, the lives of family members and the local church body life, don’t forget that in many parts of the world there are Christians doing the work of God in places where there’s not a lot of Christians or its difficult in other ways whether culturally, economically and spiritually. God can use you to encourage those missionaries with you hearing them out, encouraging them with God’s truth and also you sharing your life with them.
So this Sunday afternoon or evening after church service consider making a call to someone you know who is a missionary. Or text, message and email them. Ask how are they. Ask questions that are open ended for them to share. Ask them how is their ministry. Ask what’s been new. What’s the same. What are challenges, what has been rewarding and what God is doing. Ask how is God growing them. Ask about their families, their marriage, the kids, their church and their families back in the states. Ask them what are things you can share to others. Ask what you can pray for them. Ask them questions based upon information and knowledge you have and for updates of any prayer requests from the past.
Do it!
Yet also beware of the time of when you call them; you don’t want to call them while they are asleep in the middle of the night!
Great idea. Thanks for the wonderful suggestion. Blessings for a wonderful Sunday and for your service today.

Thank you for this call to communicate with missionaries, Jim! You are right, their sacrifices are commendable and we should encourage them.
You’re welcome! I hope to message one of our missionary later today who is living in a big country near you. I think you guys might have the same time zone. How did your Sunday go dear brother?
Only one Lutzer sermon this Sunday but it was related to the subseries. I gave a link to the sermon in my email last week.
This is great! I am going to put a card in the mail! Love your heart of encouragement!
Wow that’s a good alternative way too, to send a card to a missionary. Good idea, hope anyone reading the comments might see this and be helped to be stirred to encourage our missionaries. May I ask what region you want to send a card too, don’t have to specify the country if it’s sensitive work of missions 🙂
Bhutan. They are not missionaries persay buy Christian doctors who are working to train doctors in Bhutan in regards to obstetrics and other life saving procedures. It’s God they are even allowed in country.
Thanks for the exhortation! I need to reach out to a missionary with encouragements.
You’re welcome! What does your day look like today? Hope you are able to have an easy today with no more leaves operation 👉🛋
Thanks! Yup, on the 🛋 watching yours and my LA Chargers vs. the dastardly Buffalo Bills. Go Bolts! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Hope you’re having a blessed Lord’s Day!
Amen.
