The year is about to be over. Since tomorrow I want to do a post of my favorite books I read for 2020 I thought for today I post on the top 10 posts for Veritas Domain according to the amount of views.
Our blog focuses a lot on the Bible, the Christian worldview, theology and apologetics. We also write on practical matters such as marriage, devotionals and the church. Then there’s book reviews on the above subjects in addition to reviews of books on history and for kids.
I’m thankful for all of you who reblogged our posts and shared them across various social media. We hit two milestone this year. See Blog Milestone: 1.7 Million Views and Blog Milestone: 1.8 Million Views.
Below is our top posts written in 2020.
Has 2020 reveal your pre-existing spiritual problems?

I think there’s no doubt 2020 has been quite a year for many of us. The problems people faced and collectively as a society and culture is many. I won’t rehearse them here.
But I think sometimes we can act like 2020 the year itself caused the problem. But what if there’s another way of thinking about it.

A Pastors also need a break from heavy theological reading! So here’s a Batman comic book review!

A Batman Christmas story? Can it be? Indeed! I enjoyed this comic book that is a Batman’s version of Charles Dickens’ famous story A Christmas Carol, but modern and updated in the world of Gotham. I enjoyed it perhaps more than some of the reviewers online and hope some of the people’s negative remark might not turn people away and perhaps my review can add some balance consideration!

Someone asked me a question: “How do you usually evangelize to someone who is illiterate who don’t know how to read and write at all?” Some readers might think “Are there people illiterate in the 21st Century?” The answer is yes for different reasons. Here I thought I share my reply that I’ve further edited into a post.

I am writing this book primarily as an encouragement to those in my church who are on Winter Break with School, so they can take advantage of their winter break to read things about God and Christ from the famous English Preacher Charles Spurgeon!
Charles H. Spurgeon. The First Fruit of the Spirit. Pensacola, FL: Chapel Library, August 25th 2017. 20 pp.

Purchase: Amazon (99 cents for Kindle)
Want to read a short but deep and biblical work on God’s perspective of the Christian virtue of love? I highly recommend this booklet that is written by Charles Spurgeon, one of my favorite preacher from the past that I like to read. Spurgeon died in 1892 and I’m amazed at how well over hundred years later Spurgeon’s writings which are adapted from his sermons, still speaks to us in a manner that is still relevant and fresh. In this particular work Spurgeon looks at Galatians 5:22 which tells us the fruit of the Spirit includes love. Yet what is and is not love? Spurgeon masterfully uses the passages in the surrounding context to teach us what love is and is not.

Our text is from the Greek translation of Matthew 2:14. Here is my translation:
“SENTENCE 14 [TP ὁ TP] δὲ ἐγερθεὶς παρέλαβεν τὸ παιδίον καὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ
And he rose and took the child and His motherνυκτὸς
by nightSENTENCE καὶ ἀνεχώρησεν εἰς Αἴγυπτον”
and left for Egypt

Bible Contradiction? Who is the most blessed woman?

For today’s post we will tackle the question the Skeptic Annotated Bible asked: Who is the most blessed woman?
Here are the two answers which the skeptic believes indicate a Bible contradiction:
Mary
“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.” 29 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and was pondering what kind of greeting this was.” (Luke 1:26-29)
Jael
“Most blessed of women is Jael, The wife of Heber the Kenite; Most blessed is she of women in the tent. 25 He asked for water, she gave him milk; In a magnificent bowl she brought him curds. 26 She reached out her hand for the tent peg, And her right hand for the workmen’s hammer. Then she struck Sisera, she smashed his head; And she shattered and pierced his temple. 27 Between her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay; Between her feet he bowed, he fell; Where he bowed, there he fell dead.” (Judges 5:24-27)
Judith
“And Ozias the prince of the people of Israel, said to her: Blessed art thou, O daughter, by the Lord the most high God, above all women upon the earth. 24 Blessed be the Lord who made heaven and earth, who hath directed thee to the cutting off the head of the prince of our enemies. 25 Because he hath so magnified thy name this day, that thy praise shall not depart out of the mouth of men who shall be mindful of the power of the Lord for ever, for that thou hast not spared thy life, by reason of the distress and tribulation of thy people, but hast prevented our ruin in the presence of our God.” (Judith 13:23-25; quoted from Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition)

For today’s post we will tackle the question the Skeptic Annotated Bible asked: What became of Cain?
Here are the two answers which the skeptic believes indicate a Bible contradiction:
He was a fugitive and a vagabond.
“Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a wanderer and a drifter on the earth.” (Genesis 4:11-12)
He settled down, married, had a son, and built a city.
“Then Cain left the presence of the Lord, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. 17 Cain had relations with his wife and she conceived, and gave birth to Enoch; and Cain built a city, and named the city Enoch, after the name of his son.” (Genesis 4:16-17)
