A wee-kid Wednesday book review, this afternoon we look at a Christian Children’s book we recommend for your family!
David Pat. Jonah: God’s Love for All People. Coppell, TX: Kindle Direct Publishing, January 21, 2021. 30 pp.
5 out of 5
Purchase: Amazon
Do you love the story of Jonah in the Minor Prophet in the Bible and want to share it to your child and let him or her learn about the lesson of Jonah? This illustrated children’s book might be for you.
I love the picture, I really enjoyed the painted artwork. The drawing allows young ones to follow along if you read to them to have an idea of what is going on. It was a joy for my daughters to see the images and also hear me read this.
This book is written by a mission’s mobilizer and missions is dear to this author’s heart. As of right now Amazon only has this book available on Kindle and I imagine a physical copy of this book would be a greater blessing to what it already is in Kindle electronic form. The author David Pat is the founder and director of renewal missions and they plan to have this book be translated and given to orphans in China, Indonesia and Mexico. What an ambitious project! In fact this book on Kindle is multilingual (English and Chinese). The end of this book also explains in summary the ministry which is quite fitting for the topic of this book. This organization is worth supporting.
This is so cool! I have a friend with a young daughter and I am going to try and gift this to her! Thank you for this review!!!!!
You are welcome! Right now it’s only a digital copy on Amazon, let me contact the author to see if I can get you a physical copy yeah?
That would be AMAZING! I was going to send it to Stacey’s kindle!
LOL! Nevermind the kiddos Slim, Jonah is one of my favorite tales! I may need this one myself. 🙂
Jonah is an awesome story and book! I don’t remember have you written about the book of Jonah on your blog??
I have written about it a few times. There is so much going on in the book of Jonah, lots of spiritual insights to be had. 🙂
Thanks for this review! I remember an illustration of Jonah inside a big fish making a big impression on me as a young child.
Thanks for reading this review and commenting! Will you reviewing Spurgeon’s Little Sins on your blog?
I gratefully haven’t been reviewing the books and pamphlets that you’ve recommended because you’ve already written better reviews than I could have. 😊
I love the story of Jonah. One of my favourites. Thank you for this book review.
Getting it for the grandkids. Thanks brother. You are such a blessing for doing these reviews.
The character of Jonah is relatable for both kids and parents. This will be an good gift and a way of support.
Agreed, a good story for both adults and kids! Have you made any lovely image with a verse on Jonah? I’ll have to look later to see if you have shared any verse on Jonah on your blog since you have blogged so many verses now, and Jonah is one of my favorite books in the minor prophet! May you be safe and healthy Kent!
No image actually, Jim. Nothing special 😉 about GOD’s calling of the prophet Jonah for me that I’ve seen a parallel in my recent life or that also led/inspired me a lot to do this blog as a way of GOD’s calling. I just uploaded a Chapter of it on the blog’s anniversary date and my birthday for proof (https://gersomclark.com/2020/10/14/pictureless-versary/). 😉
Thank you.
Life is blessed when we share our love of reading with our young children . . . even better when they can witness God’s love.
Cute!
Neat! Thanks for sharing this review SlimJim ☺️
Im thinking of buying it if it’s even half as good as you say it is
Loved! Followed.
This sounds like the commentary I’m looking for; if only they have one like this in the series with Jeremiah! I have many questions about Jeremiah.
His love is for all ages
Was looking for a children’s book on Jonah
