For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Pray for the Christians remaining in Afghanistan.
Last week I wrote “The Church during 2021: Pray for the Evacuation in Afghanistan.” As the dead line of August 31st approach which the US impose as a date of when they will leave the airport I’m heavy hearted to think of Afghans, Americans and Christians left behind.
So this Sunday at my church we are going to be praying about this, about those who are going to be staying behind in Afghanistan.
I wish I can do more to help Afghans in need escape. Its been a sick and heavy feeling I have this weekend.
Dear God,
I pray for the Afghan people. For those who will be under the Taliban rule. I pray for Christians in particular. That you protect them and also allow Christ to be known even under the Taliban reign. I pray for the women, the children and those who were former Afghan soldiers, and allies of Americans and the West from interpreters, commandos and administrators.
Father, let your Kingdom come, your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven; in America as well as in Afghanistan.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
I am praying with you. It has been a sad few days. Blessings from mighty King Jesus.
God bless you Michael and your Lord’s Day!

And Amen!
I feel your sediments, brother!
Amen!
It’s heartbreaking.
BUT GOD….
🙌
Reblogged this on a simple man of God.
Of course and I would also ask for prayers for the Gulf states. Almost a Cat 5 headed this way.
In Jesus name! Amen and Amen! 🙌🙏🏻❤️
Thank you.
Praying! Are you in Louisiana and on the storm’s path???
Mississippi and probably the side …..wrong side
Amen brother!🙏
Amen brother; how is it going so far with your grandson coming over?
Hi Jim, it went well. We took him for a walk in the park to see the ducks and wee boats, we were more tired than him at the end of the day, haha.
I am joining my brothers and sisters in prayer for this situation. I have a son who keeps me apprised of the situation as I very rarely watch the news now and I am heart-broken to say the least that we could have sunk to this level! BUT – I KNOW, I truly KNOW that our God and Redeemer is still firmly on His throne and nothing will shake me from that knowledge! Prayers!
Roland it moves me very much to hear that you are praying. I am not going to lie I’ve never seen Marines of my generation having been so affected collectively the last twenty; I can’t imagine the greater horrific evil that will happen to Christians in that country; grateful you are praying brother Roland!
Amen. Praying for Christians in the region as well. It is heavy.
Amen thank you for praying; just saw this late as we had a special meeting today with our church and another church and we were hosting and now heading back after back to back preaching! Still in the back of my mind all day is Afghanistan both in thoughts and prayers. How was your Sunday??
So much going on in the world! Was the the frisbee golf weekend?!
Thanks for this exhortation. I have been thinking of and praying for believers in Afghanistan. Our gripes and discomforts pale in comparison to the real persecution they face.
Seriously the last two weeks put my concerns in perspective. How was Sunday???
Sunday was pretty good, thanks! I left some dramatic “this has to stop” notes on the day shift supervisor’s desk and on my weekshift counterpart’s white board. Hoping for “some” behavior changes. How was your Sunday and how is your rest day starting out?
Afghanistan and other places around the world beg for prayer. May we never forget about our Christian brothers and sisters, wherever they are.
Amen.
And amen! Glad to hear storm didnt head your direction; I’m still praying for storm to die down! Hope the storm is not heading towards any family members?
No, Sweetie. Praise God.
