Train your kids to learn to ask questions of others
For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Train your kids to learn to ask questions of others.
If you have kids its important to teach your kids how to initiate and sustain spiritual conversations. Teach them to ask others questions.

This is great.
Saved for future reference.
Thank you
Thanks for saving it! Hope you get some good rest and I pray you have a blessed upcoming week sister!
The same to you brother Jim. And thank you.
Excellent brother. Our main responsibility is to raise our children in the way of the Master Jesus.
Blessings.

Jimmy, Read the outline and found such a lot of wisdom there. Often cultural factors are at issue, where kids are taught not to be too inquisitive and prying, and being “reserved” and private is considered more of a virtue than genuine interest. And then there’s the danger of being regarded as a nosy parker! These are things we have to overcome in order to be what our Lord has equipped us to be: the salt of the earth.

dora
Indeed Dora you are right with your points about cultural dimension that shapes how we fellowship and also the balancing act between being “nosy” and being unloving. How we need God’s grace and wisdom! How was your Lord’s Day so far??
So blessed today.
I’m a big fan of this training. within good other skill parameters.
Extremely relevant at any time in our culture and in most cultures. Also, train them how to come alongside rather than confront, inquisitive rather than why. How to word thought out questions will let the adults adapt the answer to their level or higher. I grew up in a small church where I ended up being the adult Sunday school teacher at age 17. Yes, something wrong with that picture. I think I was asking deeper questions then the adults. not sure to this day how this happened (I said yes??)
Wow thanks for that comment. I know you are always ministering to people with biblical hospitality, that’s such a great ministry you are doing. You must have taught Sunday school now for decades???
Amen. A questing mind is not taught anymore.
True we must teach kids to be hospital and how to talk to other. What a joy that is! I’m reminded it’s a great privilege…thank you for that Maw MAw!
You are welcome, Grand.
In this day and age, it is even more imperative that our children can carry on a conversation and ask thoughtful questions. Less social time on devices and more face-to-face time sounds like a good plan.
Amen! Thanks also for all your comments on the blog
You are very welcome. I appreciate the opportunity to read your posts.
Good exhortation and thanks for linking back to that post of excellent questions.
Thanks! And thanks also for helping the blog hit the 2 million views milestone; I think a significant number of that was you reading my blog for years! Grateful for your friendship on here on WordPress
Thanks, brother, and I’m grateful for your support and friendship over the years!
I figure you would have some helpful points that should edify me as a believer. Only the Spirit saves but the Spirit often directs transformation and enacts saving faith through the means of our conversations
Convicting; parenting is always assessing and directing
