For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Consider a Meal Train for a Mom who recently gave birth.
For this week’s post I admit this isn’t my original idea; I had help from my church with this. That’s because I’ve seen our church the last few months been so gracious to organize a meal train for two of the new moms with two new infants!
After writing This Sunday at Church: Encourage a mom with an infant two weeks ago I saw at church believers in action with a meal train for the new moms. It was neat to see something the believers organized themselves without a pastor overlooking it. I love seeing God’s people on the move!
So consider if there’s a new mom in your church who have given birth and the idea of a meal train for the new mom! OUr church usually do it for the first month.
Our church is having signups to help with making meals and this is very convicting as I have been pondering if this is an area where I should signup to help. Thanks, Jimmy! Praying for your sermon!!!!
That’s great your church has a sign up with this! I know also you are doing a lot with various areas so its understandable! Thanks for your prayers!
That is such a big service Mandy to exhausted moms, esp when other kids and husband need dinner.
Good post Pastor, stirs us to serve one another.

Excellent exhortation! Extended families used to support mothers of newborns but today’s families are now so spread out.
So true with families so spread out I think its an opportunity of the Local Church to show love. Hope and pray your shift today go well…I bet you can’t wait to be done with the shift!
RE: Shift
Thanks! ALL of the work dried up around 2PM. That’s the first time that’s ever happened in the seven months I’ve been doing this particular job. I’m not going to complain!
How is your Sunday going? I know you’re super busy on Sundays.
Now that I am working 5 days a week, I am no longer able to be active on WordPress or keep up with articles. I can’t keep up. Even on my days off I am busy with church groups/classes
Wow. Praise God!
Such a wonderful idea! Really inspiring!
Thanks RG! How can I pray for you this week dear brother??
Thanks, Jim! Give God all the Glory that I’m getting stronger and back to drawing and writing!
Inspiring act of service. For several years our church has set up free oil changes for single mothers and widows. It has been a well-appreciated endeavor.
Oil change. That’s a very thoughtful one.
