For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Pray that God might show what you can get as a gift to help a Church Member.
This idea shouldn’t only be during a holiday season but regular Christian living. But still this is a great opportunity to pray before going to Church service for opportunities to see if you can be a blessing to another member of Christ’s body.
It doesn’t have to be something fancy. It can be practical. Of course it can definitely be spiritual! And in all things may it be done out of love!

What a great idea. Thanks!
Blessings.
Yes, a heart of service. Praise the Lord.
Amen! Thanks for reading this and I hope you have a blessed day!!!
You are welcome. Have a blessed day too.
Reblogged this on a simple man of God.
Wow Pastor, I’m on a bus now reading your post. I just left the wonderful coffee fellowship where I spoke with brother Ed. He is in his 80s, somewhat disabled, but wore an old coat with a big rip on the side.
I mentioned it to his close friend, perhaps Bob & I could buy him a new one. Well either Ed really likes that old coat or is a bit eccentric…I don’t want to offend him but see how the Lord leads.
Good post Pastor, let’s keep our hearts open to our brethren!
Wow your awareness of others need is a good example for all the believers! That’s so encouraging to hear Lisa!!
What a wonderful idea!
Praying! And may our Lord open our eyes to see.
Pax,
Dora
Amen Dora!
I do my best to love on people each day whether those I know or do not know. We need to be more sensitive to the Holy Spirit in this manner, it decreases our narcissism and increases our dependence on God. How was your service today?! Praying for you, family, church and the youth!!!
“ We need to be more sensitive to the Holy Spirit in this manner, it decreases our narcissism and increases our dependence on God.” amen!! I have seen your love shown to our church from the youth group to your generosity to our members and church. What an example Mandy! Service went well! It seem this weekend was everything all at once from retreat planning meeting to last minute financial deacons meeting and also many pastoral counseling calls and couples meeting and sermon. I’m glad you taught the kids this week, I think that would have really overwhelmed me if you didn’t help. How was your service?? How was your Lord’s day??
Glad your service went well! I am praying for you to rest today!!!! We had a productive and trying Sunday, Nathan and I do NOT organize the same way!
Thanks for this exhortation to help out a brother or sister!
Thanks for reading this!! Did you get a break after getting home earlier on Sunday??
Thanks! I’m not good for much after I get home on Sundays. Usually pig out and top it off with ice cream and go to bed at 8:30. I’m still lounging around in my pajamas at 1:15PM. The yard is full of leaves but I’m taking a break today. My wife’s elderly aunt is coming over for dinner. My only chores today are taking a shower and blogging & reading on the couch!
How was your Sunday?
Timely reminder for anytime of the year. The use of spiritual gifts is probably underutilized.
