For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Talk to someone about what is Biblical Marriage.
During the month of February with the holiday of Valentine’s Day I imagine for some there’s thoughts about marriage and love. So take the opportunity to talk to someone about what’s a biblical marriage and what does it look like. Whether younger or older than you, Christian or non-Christian. Don’t forget to also talk about how marriage points to the Gospel as Ephesians 5 teaches!
I have written many posts over the years on marriage; I think some of the older posts were helpful on a biblical view of marriages; check out the posts filed under “Christian marriage” by clicking here.

Thanks for the exhortation and I appreciate how you honor marriage. With the world teaching people they need to please themselves first, Christian couples need help to make it work.
It is good to be clear about “a biblical marriage and what does it look like”..
Amen In an era of so much Confusion we can’t assume our young people know what’s biblical!
The church definitely needs to talk about this more.
I agree Brother. Hope your Sunday went well?
Was great. Hope yours went well too.
Amen. Blessings.
My church Hope Chapel thankfully has classes on marriage. One class for couples called “Love and Respect” and the Exemplary Husband Class for Men. Created to Be His Helpmate for women.
That’s awesome to hear! Do pastors or sunday School teachers usually teach these classes??
Some Pastors teach classes. Also our church elders also teach classes. The Exemplary Husband class is led by an elder of the church.
Great thoughts!
Too many people don’t spend time with the Word to study about what God says about marriage so we should take the initiative as a church in discipling people
Excellent. !!
What an encouraging post; something to do and pray about. Thank you for sharing this SlimJim ☺️. Every marriage that is a blessing is evidence of God’s grace!
