For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Pray and Encourage High Schoolers who have AP tests coming up.
The last few weeks and months our church kids were talking to me about the upcoming Advanced Placement test.
I know some of the kids at church are stressed about the AP exam.
Brothers and sisters don’t let the opportunities be missed to pray for the youths in our church.
Ultimately one should desire things after God’s own heart.
Our youth have been asking for prayer for their AP tests as well. Thank you for your heart for youth. Praying for your sermon.
Thank you for your prayers for my sermon. Praying for your church youths with their AP tests also as well sister. Partnership through prayer is too often neglected…thanks for this practice lived out Mandy. Let me know how goes church today
Church was really nice today. Pastor Keith had a life giving message from Matt 12:33-37. He used a great analogy that if you have a cup of water and someone bumps you, it isn’t juice or lemonade coming out but water. The same is true with people when someone/life bumps into you is what’s really in you. If you cuss and scream that’s what’s coming out. If you’re kind and compassionate that’s what’s coming out. We are surrounded by words more than ever and our words expose our hearts.
Did you preach on Ephesians 6 or Triumphant Entry/Palm Sunday?!
Amen !
And amen! How did your Palm Sunday go?
Went well. Did your church do anything special for Palm Sunday?
May those students trust in Jesus and be encouraged to continue doing so as they prepare to enter institutional environments that are hostile to Christianity.
We also need to pray for them when they do go to college (if they go to college). These days I think its important to also encourage youths to consider skill and trade school. I still think there’s a place for college and in other Sunday posts I encourage praying and talking with the youths about the clash of worldviews in college. Blessings to you Frank, good comment!
Good point about skill and trade schools. They would also offer less room for atheistic indoctrination through “general education” courses since the focus would be on something practical.
I am praying with you for them. God is with them.
Shalom!

Good exhortation, brother! We think of the teen years as a carefree time, but the rigors of schoolwork and testing are stressful.
Indeed seeing the kids stressed out reminds me of that; how Sunday go?
RE: Sunday
Yesterday went pretty well. I finished my orders around noon and did audits the rest of the day. Just want to decompress on the couch today.
How did your Sunday go?

Psalm 43:5
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God.
Truth. Amen.
Amen Bonnie hope you were able to get much rest on Sunday!!
Thank you too, Pastor.
These kids will appreciate it
Great post, Pastor Jim.
Thank you for considering the youth of your church. It is so important to let them know that we love them and will pray for them.
My son teaches high school English and I know all about the tests that are upcoming. He has been preparing his students for the test for some time now and he specifically does things that will help those who get nervous. I wish I had had an English teacher like my son when I was in high school.
Keep up the good work and God’s blessings to you and your church!
Wow what an example of a good teacher your son is. I wished I had a teacher like him too! Does he teach more than one AP course? As in English Lit and some other literature course?
Grant teaches pre-AP courses to ninth grade students. The test his students will be taking soon is called the ACT Aspire. His students will be tested on English and Reading skills. Grant has helped his students through some Shakespeare and some Greek and Roman Literature but his course focuses mostly on helping students to read and write better. If the time he spends preparing to teach is any indication, student test scores should improve for the students who are paying any kind of attention.
Thanks for asking, Pastor Jim.
God’s blessings…
Praying for our young test takers! Thanks for the reminder SlimJim ☺️
