For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Minister to those without a father in their life.
In past years I have posted This Sunday at Church: Encourage a father that’s an Example to Others and This Sunday at Church: Encourage a father going through a hard time with his kids and this years’Encourage a father who is turning his life around. Those are important. But I also think its important to think of those without father’s in their lives.
Don’t waste this opportunity as a church on Sunday!
I believe if we see this is important many would have their own “how-to.” The statistics is overwhelming about the importance of fathers. See my Extra-Biblical Confirmation of the Importance of Fathers in Early Years of A Child. They say that most mass shooters in the US have something in common: Lack of fathers or bad fathers in their lives. This is so important.
Talk to someone. Encourage them. Not sure where to begin? Learn about who they are, but you can always start with “I’m glad to see you at church.” See if you can meet up with them at an appointed time after Sunday. Mentor those who are younger. Just hang out with them to start it up. As a pastor I also try to disciple young men in the past with going over a book together.
If you are shy you can also think about the idea of supporting Christian orphanages around the world. That’s one way to love on the fatherless.
Be intentional; be the church. Love and minister to those who are without father in their life.

I am one of those who grew up most of my life without my father. I have not seen my father since 2003 when I was 11 years old.
Wow that must not have been easy for you brother. That’s so heart breaking
I am only 1 of 8 children my now 70 year old father had. My father had 8 kids with 4 different women. He abandoned all of us in different parts of his life to find a new woman and have more sex. My oldest sister is 49 and the youngest sister was born in 2012
If everyone would understand the importance of Dad’s in the home this world would be a different place.
Agreed. Amen. I am encouraged to hear of your prayers for your kids, who are fathers. I wish more pray for fathers in their lives, for them to seek God and follow Him
Thanks brother. I was fortunate to have a Godly father. So blessed that way.
Thanks for the good exhortation! These days, many people’s father are absentee fathers.
Yeah more than Mother’s Day there seems to be more hurt and pain for Father’s Day when I minister; preached two churches today and that was evident

Amen and Amen.

Have a Geat Tuesday in the Lord.
Extra meaningful with father’s days. Glad you shared it in the group on Mewe
During my final ten years of teaching, I transitioned from teaching in rural Montana to a large urban area in Ohio. One of my tasks was to be a positive role model for all students, especially those without a consistent fatherly presence in their lives.
What a loving thing to do
I appreciate your kind affirmation. Blessings.
