Thank you!
You are welcome I’m glad you wrote the article
Thanks again! The article you picked up is more directly in line with your material than some of my others, and I’m glad you saw it. A few of the supporting links in there are also applicable.
Forgot to add that there are a few others included that I’m looking forward to reading and probably sharing on social(ist) media.
I appreciate your many writings! Of course there’s some that I enjoy for being closer to the theme of presuppositional apologetics; I enjoy sharing them Bob!
Thanks for the great list this week. Looking forward to learning more.
Shalom!
Thanks, brother! I’ll be listening to the J. Warner Wallace redux interview while doing some chores today.
Thanks for listening!! How goes your day today??
I was hanging wallpaper in the powder room today. Ach. I really dislike hanging wallpaper, which is why it’s taking me so long to paper the little room.
Anyway, I listened to J. Warner Wallace while working and of course he mentioned his pop-apologist buddies who are all ecumenical, Lee Strobel, Sean McDowell, and Frank Turek. He casually mentioned that Strobel is affiliated with Saddleback, which should have raised the eyebrows of Patrick, Tony, and discerning listeners. Anyway, I checked J. Warner’s website to see if he had any articles directly critical of RC-ism (besides his 2019 article on Purgatory which I referred to in a blog post at the time) and I noticed a very recent podcast in which one of the questions discussed involves “the Catholic Papacy and authority.” I’ll take a listen and maybe post on it. I’m quite sure Strobel, McDowell, and Turek have zero critical articles about RC-ism on their websites.
How is your Thursday going?
I listened to J. Warner’s new podcast which included the “Catholic Papacy and authority” question. Wallace misunderstood the question completely and his response had nothing to do with the papacy
I enjoyed the “eVideNce fOr eVoLutiOn!!!!” post.
I enjoyed that one too from ApoloJedi!!! Thanks for checking it out
Hi, Pastor Jim.
I read the article “eVideNce fOr eVoLutiOn!!!!” I enjoyed the views of the author. They made perfect sense to me. I cannot understand, myself, how anyone can look at the world around us, apart from the scriptures, and not see God’s hand in it all. So many people spend so much time trying to explain God away that I find articles like this encouraging.
Thank you for sharing!
Seems that article was the one most comments on here talked about! Glad you read it and thanks for looking at the other articles with this ongoing regular feature on our blog!! Thanks!!!
You’re welcome, Pastor Jim, and thanks again for sharing!
Apolo Jedi’s #5 article was really well done!!!! Hoping more believers will come to love biblical theology from your posts!
I hope so too!! So glad you do have a passion for Biblical Theology and teach that to our youth and kids!!! Blessed!!
I meant to ask you, have you read Vos’s “The Idea of Biblical Theology as a Science and a Theological Discipline”? This was his inaugural address as Professor of BT at Princeton Theological Seminary. I will totally email you a pdf if you haven’t read and are interested!
Good points in link 6 supporting a young earth: the low amount of sediment on the ocean floor, bent rock layers, soft tissue in fossils, dinosaur and human footprints found together, the faint young sun paradox, helium still present in zircons, carbon 14 still in diamonds, comets are still observed, little salt in the oceans and the similarity of DNA in Lazarus bacteria with current bacteria.
Good stuff on his podcast! Grateful for you listening to this brother Frank!
Reblogged this on My Logos Word.
