This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Talk to someone about the Problems of Evolution.
February 12th is actually Question Evolution Day which happen to fall on a Sunday!
But talking to someone about the Problems of Evolution could also be done on any Sunday. And given how the multiple generations in the church this might be relevant to talk about with others on different Sundays.
Here’s how we can do this.
If you teach Sunday schools or run Sunday school programs consider having a lesson or lessons addressing this topic.
If you know those who are in high school or are younger or older students, ask them what they are studying. Hear them what they are learning. Then bring up that not everything is taught from a truthful biblical worldview. Including Evolution. Ask them if that’s assumed as true in their classes or taught by their teachers. Ask them what they think. Ask them if there’s things they have read concerning the problems of evolution. Share them what you know. Or also share them resources you have read.
Sometimes there’s so much going on for me on Sundays; my ministry continue after people head home. I message them or text to them. Share with someone resources. Consider sharing with people at church Facebook pages like Question Evolution Project. Share articles you find helpful or books you recommend such as Creation, Evolution and Intelligent Design, The Battle for the Beginning: The Bible on Creation and the Fall of Adam, and The Ultimate Proof of Creation: Resolving the Origins Debate.
Thanks for being a part of Question Evolution Day again! This is very important for Christians to learn and understand, especially how creation is foundational to the gospel. By the way, there are many free videos on YouTube and other places by creation science ministries that can be used.
Ah true forgot to mention that! This is where I”m glad there’s a comment section and also for your comment here specifically! THanks for coordinating this QED!!!!

How to segue from the weather to this topic while visiting with folks at church will be challenging! 😂 But
…. I too believe it is foundational to the gospel as said above.
Indeed, not easy to transition to this topic! I feel with youth the best way is by asking them what they learn and then asking them if they have seen evolution or anything unbiblical. ANd I agree with you this topic is important! Hope your Lord’s Day is well I pray for that and for your health!
Excellent brother. I need to bring it up more often.
Blessings.
Same with me I need to too!
Thanks for the good exhortation! Two important facts I like to bring up: Secular science reports that all human DNA can be traced back to one, single woman. Also, a 2018 genetics study piloted by Mark Stoeckle of The Rockefeller University in New York and David Thaler at the University of Basel in Switzerland concluded that just about all species had their origin in the same timeframe. Thasler said, “This conclusion is very surprising, and I fought against it as hard as I could.”
Wow thanks for sharing that! There’s so much details with this topic! I learned something from you today. How did your Sunday go??
Sunday is going well! Church service was a blessing as usual, oldest son came over for a visit, and now we’re “prepping” for the Super Bowl. How is your Sunday going?
I have never heard of question evolution day. Probably because I don’t follow any of that.
Gotcha thanks for dropping by
Thank you for reminding us about Question Evolution Day. It needs to be questioned.
Indeed it needs to be questioned!
We raise questions and show that it’s not a “proven scientific fact” but also hoping to get people to examine their own evolutionary beliefs and start to question it.
Amen! TY for all that you do Cowboy Bob!
There is a lot of good information on your site. I am glad you have taken the time to place it there.
Yes, we need to question evolution!
“Every news story posted on the Internet or printed in magazines and every book written in our day by evolutionists always starts with the assumption evolution happened. That belief and assertion is taken as fact and becomes the foundation the rest of the story is constructed upon.
Evolutionists’ modus operandi, their primary way of interacting with the public, is analogous to the sleight-of-hand tricks used by all illusionists. It’s a bait-and-switch type of ploy that achieves a very powerful effect of which the unsuspecting reader is never aware of when it occurs, nor can identify it when it happens. The ideologues of this religious dogma never divulge to the public when their faith and belief diverge and part ways with facts, truth, and science.
…evolution is NOT science, but its tenets, assumptions, and dogmas are built solely on faith, and any so-called evidence thereof is always built upon the belief—the “fact”—that evolution is true and nothing else.”
From “Reindeer Don’t Fly” Michael Earl Riemer
Glad you wrote your book tackling Evolution Michael!
I wrote my book to answer questions many have concerning Scriptures dealing with this issue. And not only for others, but for myself, for I had questions;
• Scripture records that there was a worldwide flood, so where did the water come from?
• Where did the water go after the flood?
• Is there enough water to cover Mount Everest?
• Is there a reliable method scientists can use to date the age of the earth?
• Is there life in outer space?
• Did people really co-exist with dinosaurs?
• What was the pre-Flood world really like?
• Can animals evolve; change from one kind of creature into another species?
• If the theory of evolution is invalid and worthless, why do so many scientists and others promote this teaching?
For editing my book, I chose a service that provided their expertise, mostly to the scientific community, which for the most part, means, those who believe in evolution. I was a bit surprised they accepted my manuscript, even after I told them, I would be attempting to debunk evolution.
I chose that service for two reasons, first, I wanted to make sure any real science facts I presented were correct, secondly, to see if I could truly debunk and answer most questions put forth by evolutionists. During their editing, there were hundreds of rebuttals and challenges for my arguments, opinions, and logic. I was able to answer each one. Thus, if someone is looking for answers concerning this topic, he will probably find the answer somewhere within my book.
Very good food for thought here
What a great idea, Jim!
What I often do is point out that there are many secular/atheist/agnostic scientists who question standard mainstream evolutionary theory, viz. neo-Darwinism. Scientists like James Shapiro at the University of Chicago, Denis Noble at Oxford University, etc.
In fact, there was a famous or infamous (depending on your perspective) 2016 Royal Society meeting in which world-class scientists in essence admitted that neo-Darwinism was broken and they needed a better if not novel theory. These scientists took issue with neo-Darwinian fundamentals like the creative power of the natural selection and genetic mutation as an adequate mechanism.
Anyway, it’s not merely Christians or religious people criticizing neo-Darwinism, but secular scientists too.
What silly people, are supposedly world-class scientists, which seem to think neo-Darwinism was just a bit broken, and might need a revision of sorts. Darwinism, “neo” or otherwise, isn’t broken, it never got off the ground, was a non-starter, and was a non-participant in anything scientific. “The creative power of natural selection,” natural selection creates nothing! I wonder, have they bumped their heads one time too many, and now their brains are a bit rattled?
“Natural selection, along with mutation, migration, and genetic drift, are the supposed keys to the basic mechanisms of evolution. The only problem with these “keys” is they do not open any doors. Natural selection is a conservative, not a constructive process, for new information is never added or acquired. It is a process that selects from traits and variations already inherent and existent within a genus or species. Over time the most suitable features selected will become predominant in that life form and will be passed down from generation to generation. However, those changes will never alter the genus beyond its own predetermined limits.
Natural selection is kindred to “quality control” on an automobile assembly line. That process weeds out damaged, marred, broken, impaired, and inferior parts and products. If the assembly line at the Ford plant was producing classic Mustangs, how long would it have to run until the Mustang vehicle was able to transform into a Cobra helicopter or a John Deere tractor? Nature in some respects is more permissive and less exacting than quality control at a factory; it will permit slight changes to occur—it will tolerate numerous varieties, colors, shapes, and sizes. However, all changes will be confined to specifications—to the programming and information that already exists within the DNA of the organism.” – “Reindeer Don’t Fly”
1. Good points, Michael Earl Riemer! I agree with most of what you’ve said; I certainly agree with your main point. As the catchphrase goes (granted it’s simplistic but it gets across one of the main points in the debate): neo-Darwinism might explain “the survival, not the arrival, of the fittest”! For one, neo-Darwinian evolutionary processes necessitate pre-existing information. For another, neo-Darwinian processes cannot create sufficiently de novo information (such as origination of new genes and/or proteins) to explain the development of radically different if not novel body plans in animals.
2. That said, the reason I brought up the 2016 Royal Society meeting is precisely because it’s a great example of secular scientists themselves realizing neo-Darwinism is defunct, to put it mildly! It’s often useful for Christians who dissent from Darwin to have corroborative evidence from secular scientists themselves. Obviously I disagree with the secular scientists in many respects (e.g. James Shapiro argues for natural genetic engineering as a new evolutionary paradigm to replace neo-Darwinism). But again, in terms of arguing against neo-Darwinism, the secular scientists’ criticisms are largely on point.
epistleofdude:
I guess we should be happy there is dissent between the disciples of evolutionism. Maybe this disagreement between the proponents of Darwinism may lead them into the truth, “In the beginning God created the heaven and earth.”
Nevertheless, that debate is analogous to those who debate the faithfulness a superhero movie, science fiction film, or fantasy epic such as “Lord of the Rings,” was to its book source. It’s all fantasy and make-believe. Those realms created by Robert E. Howard for Conan, the empires and kingdoms as in “Pellucidar,” “Barsoom,” and “Amtor” series by Edgar Rice Burroughs never existed. You can debate and argue all you want, whether or not a comic book or movie was faithful to the book. It makes no difference if it is, for its all fiction, all from the mind of its author.
Don’t forget, every aspect concerning the belief in evolutionism is fantasy, make-believe, and illusory, and comes from the mind of man. It’s all imaginary, there is no evolutionary history to study, no evidence to find, and not one fact that can provide proof or confirmation that it has occurred. Thus, no matter how much they argue between themselves, all their discussions are confined to fantasy-land, and fictional events.
But we can pray, that somehow, someway, some come to the realization they believe in fairy tales, and a bit of truth may light their path into the truth, God spoke and creation happened, about 6,000 – 7,000 or so years ago.

Good point; that’s a good apologetics strategy to show reputable secular scientists question Neo-Darwinism too. Thanks for sharing that sir!
This area of discussion brings to mind a principle in American law, “statements against interest.” Essentially, someone is compelled to testify even though what they have to say supports the other side, not their own. Using the words of atheists and evolutionists against them is very similar to using statements against interest. Reblogged this on clydeherrin.
It is vital to balance our understanding of earth’s journey from a source that uses God’s own Word. Years ago, my wife and I took two of our grandchildren to a creation museum in northern Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati. It was an inspiring experience.
Awesome that you got to visit Answer’s in Genesis’ Ark!
This is a heavy topic but I believe it must be taught in the church. We tend to shy away from these difficult subjects.
AmenI agree with you sister! Amen!!
This is one reason that Question Evolution Day exists, so we can make both Christians and open-minded secularists aware that there is a valid alternative to what is being pushed down our throats. Biblical creation science ministries are there to help Christians who care to get equipped.
So true.
