Recently Revealed Apologetics had a discussion on Greg Bahnsen, one of my favorite apologist who passed away in 1995.
The interview is with his son David Bahnsen. In the interview he talks about his father’s contribution to apologetics, his father’s theology and also David Bahnsen’s own beliefs.
I appreciate David Bahnsen; when I was a young man he sent me some of his dad’s lecture series on ancient and modern philosophy on CDs. It was an expensive series that I couldn’t afford when I was in college. I imagine there’s many others that have benefited from his generosity.
The video is below:
Thanks brother. I really enjoyed David’s book “There is no free lunch”.
Blessings.
Wow that’s awesome you read his book
I got to listen to this whole podcast while picking up twigs and dog droppings in the backyard. I enjoyed listening to David talk about his father and especially enjoyed the revelation that his dad was a Beatles fan. That would have been blasphemy in the fundamentalist circles I started out in.
Yeah that was fascinating and I thought about how non-fundy that was. Just didn’t think Bahnsen was that cool lol. I thought it’s neat to learn that Bahnsen is so pastoral.
How goes your day??
Too bad he wasn’t a Byrds fan. Well, there’s no accounting for taste.
Yeah, I enjoyed all of the son’s memories of Bahnsen as I’m sure you did even more so.
Man, I’m really beat after working on the backyard. R&R the rest of the day. How goes your Tuesday?

Wow David Bahnsen seems like he’s an interesting person himself and not just for being the son of a famous apologist
That is correct. A godly heritage can be used by God for impacting future generations across various spheres
Its speaks to the legacy of his father
