I haven’t been able to read a lot lately; and I do wish I can pick up reading again.
Those of you who read this blog over the years know I love to read.
I typically have as my yearly goal to read 52 books a year. I’m behind!
So I hope that all changes.
Reading spiritual books draws me close to God. I can’t imagine not reading at all!
The time I have been able to read the last few weeks have been precious though.
I do hope when I go on my long trip I can read more; speaking of which while I’m away I’m still looking for guest writers; see Want to Write a Guest Posts for Our Blog for April 2023?
I hope everything’s okay and that you’re able to read more soon 😊
Aww thanks sister!! I hope you are doing well!
Me too. Try to read miracle morning. Peaceful journey
Peace to you!
I can imagine that your schedule has been very full lately. I hope more space opens up for you for reading time. I too love exploring a good book, although my pace is more around one book per every two weeks.
Thanks! I hope things settled down so I can read more too!! It be a joy to read more again! A book every two weeks is a good pace!! Hope your day be not too cold?
Not too cold in ROC today. 44F. I might do a (very) little lawn raking this afternoon. The 10-day forecast shows 50+ highs in 7 of the 10 days. We’re getting there! How’s the clime down your way? Still hot?
I hope and pray you are able to slow down just a bit so that you can read a bit more.
I pray front that too
Praying you have more time to read. Blessings for your trip.
Thanks for the prayers brother Michael
Praying. But be careful you don’t burn out, Jim. Setting such a high goal could add stress.
True thanks for the words of wisdom
It is a new and good season to be in, embrace the journey. At least for myself, when I have time to read books that I want to read I enjoy them all the more!!!
Good encouragement!! Thanks!!
Am I allowed to still ask you questions about the TCAC youth in regards to my teaching?
Just saw this let me check my text in an hour; going over something with someone about preaching right now online
Does not reading throw other areas of life off kilter, or the other way around? perhaps both?
Ah true there is an inter-relationship between the two! Good point!!
I may have posted this here before, but as one who is very busy, also one who doesn’t easily sit still for very long, I have turned to audiobooks. I listen while I cook, sort laundry, drive (especially road trips), walk, exercise, etc. More and more books are available in audio versions now, and they’re often read by the authors themselves. So, it’s less like reading words on a page and more like having the author there in person, sharing his/her stories and ideas first-hand. 😉
That is awesome this is practical thanks for sharing this Anne
May your upcoming journey bring treasured time for reading. My own schedule has been short for time to both read and write. Blessings.
Wow thanks for those words of blessings
Amen.
I like to write!
I sent you an email!
Thanks, brother
I hear you, Slim! Hang in there. 🙂
Aww thanks for the encouragement
I am in the same boat brother. Press on! 💪
Thanks! Encouraging to know I’m not the only one! Hope to have a guest post from you!!
I pray the Lord grants you the time and space to carve out some time for reading so through your reading you will both magnify his name and serve his people for their good! 🙂
Also, it’d be a privilege and an honor to guest post for your weblog if you still need guest posters. Please just let me know if you have any particular topic in mind that you might think would be good to post about. 🙂
I just rescued your comment from spam! Yes a guest post would be great! I don’t remember if you have my email? I will be leaving soon but I hope one of the days next week I have WiFi to check my email and load up your guest post!!
Oh man, sorry for such a late reply, but thanks so much! What an honor if still would like a guest post from me (if not, it’s totally understandable as I’m so late, my fault)! 🙂 Actually, I’m not sure I have your email, at least I can’t seem to find it. Would it be possible to email it to me at epistleofdude at gmail.com? Thanks again! 🙂
About to board a flight will email you! If this be a future guest post for my trip in may does that work? I need to tell you about the new ministry
Oh awesome! New ministry sounds wonderful. That’d be good. 🙂
I like to think God put you in that point in life to be able to read about one a week that to prepare you for now. I bet there will be a season when you can find a way to do that again.
True that was a providential time to prepare for now
