A Godly Leader motivate others

Selected Verse

Establish the need: Do you motivate others to do what needs to be done?

Purpose: Today we shall three points so that we would be intentionally decisive as a Christian and foundation to be a godly leader.

  • The importance of motivating others
  • The examples of motivating others
  • How to cultivate the skill in motivating others

Quick Comments about meaning of motivation:

  • The dictionary’s first definition: “enthusiasm for doing something:”[1]
  • The dictionary’s other definition: “the need or reason for doing something.”[2]
  • From the dictionary of motivation my definition of “motivate others” is the ability to encourage others to do what needs to be done, with the emphasis of the word “encourage” as opposed to force, threats, etc.

Establish the need: Are you a person that is known by others for being decisive?

 

Purpose: Today we shall three points so that we would be intentionally decisive as a Christian and foundation to be a godly leader.

  • The importance of being decisive
  • The example of beings decisive
  • How to cultivate decisiveness

 

Quick Comments about meaning of decisive:

  • The dictionary’s first definition: “able to make decisions quickly and confidently, or showing this quality.”[1]
  • The dictionary’s other definition: “making choices quickly and surely, without having any doubts.”[2]
  • From the dictionary my definition of decisive is the ability to execute actions when the time of action is required and the action is pursued with determination despite any possible obstacles such as fears, doubts, concerns and other difficulties.

  • I think it is funny the dictionary’s definition of planning mentioned planning so my modified definition from the dictionary is as follows: ““the process of arranging activities or events in an organized way before it takes place so that they are successful or happen on time.”

My internet at home has been a problem since the internet provider’s optic cable has broken and been a problem for our area.  But it is fixed this morning hence the delayed post!

Beginning in 2016 I worked on a series titled “How Theology Shapes Marriage.”  Since posting the provincial outline I have added more to the series so I thought it might be good for this Sunday to share this updated table of contents.  The point of this series is to show that theology matter; and matter for marriage since it has implications for godliness in marriage.
