In light of yesterday’s post which has stirred in my mind a lot about the compromises being committed by Christian celebrities and leaders, I thought this would be an appropriate witty ditty for Christians to be reminded that true Biblical ethics is not designed to conform to the world nor is it meant to look 100% like the ethics of our culture.

As I grow more in the Lord I discover the right motivation for obedience matters even more.

Actually wrong motivation for obedience can reveal a misunderstanding of the role of grace and works.  A wrong view of works can lead one to be arrogant and act like a Pharisee.

I posted a little ditty on our Facebook page and Twitter but I thought I post this on the blog as well.  (If you haven’t followed us on social media feel free to like and follow us).

Biblically faithful preaching is harder to find today in more ways than one.  Perhaps the most common problem is that some no longer like to preach on sin.  If that is true I imagine it is more true that most people do not like Biblical preaching because it talks about sin.
