What are the important books in history that has changed the world?  In these lectures produced The Teaching Company various experts of various literatures presents to us important literary works that literally changed the world.  A total of 36 books are surveyed and these individual lectures comes from other lecture series produced by the The Teaching Company.  For instance the lecture on Sun Tzu’s Art of War is from The Masters at War: History’s greatest Strategic Thinkers series delivered by a professor of Strategy and Policy at US Naval War college.  The Republic by Plato is lectured by a political science professor for the series Great Minds of the Western Intellectual Tradition.  I admit listening to these lectures on 36 books that changed the world makes me want to listen to more amazing lecture series produced by The Teaching Company.

This is the last day of the year.  So now here’s my best books I read in 2020.  It’s not easy to narrow it down from the many books I read but overall this is the best ones.  I hope to read more good books next year!

As I minister to people the question comes up from time to time of how to read more when life gets busy.  I use to share my post  that directed people to a guest post I wrote for another blog.  Unfortunately that blog has ceased to exist and I thought it was regrettable since the website owner did a good job editing the grammar for my essay (I am notorious with bad grammar).  Fortunately I found a web archive online that saved the page so I was able to reproduce the improved  written version.  I also got to expand the article to include two more points!  So below are ten things that helps one read more when life gets busy.

Wow fell asleep for 13 hours after our retreat.  Haven’t done that in years.  So hence this much later post.

This is the last day of the year.  Earlier I asked you all “What was your favorite book in 2018?”  So now here’s my best books I read in 2018.  It’s not easy to narrow it down from the many books I read but overall this is the best ones.  I hope to read more good books next year!
