I found this passage in Isaiah 48:12-16.

Here’s what the passage says:

“Listen to Me, Jacob, Israel whom I called;
I am He, I am the first, I am also the last.
13 Assuredly My hand founded the earth,
And My right hand spread out the heavens;
When I call to them, they stand together.
14 Assemble, all of you, and listen!
Who among them has declared these things?
The Lord loves him; he will carry out His good pleasure against Babylon,
And His arm will be against the Chaldeans.
15 I, yes I, have spoken; indeed I have called him,
I have brought him, and He will make his ways successful.
16 Come near to Me, listen to this:
From the beginning I have not spoken in secret,
From the time it took place, I was there.
And now the Lord God has sent Me, and His Spirit.”

I think in the near future I’ll have to study this passage more in-depth as its nearly 3 AM here and its late to start looking at the Hebrew.  But some quick observations.

A recent troll said to me:

Jesus himself said he wasn’t God! Mark 10:18 & Luke 18:19

Both Mark 10:18 and Luke 18:19 parallel each other.

This is what Mark 10:18 states:

And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.

This is what Luke 18:19 states:

And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.

This is how she would argue it:

Jesus denies he’s good: “no one is”

Only God is good

Ergo Jesus isn’t God

Does this show Jesus is not God?  I don’t think so.  Let me explain.

Ten days ago I got a comment on my post Who Is God? Trinity Debate: Dr. James White vs Bro. Joe Ventilacion that I want to respond to in this post.  For context the original post was a debate between Christian apologist James White and a defender of the cult Iglesia ni Cristo.

Iglesia ni Cristo denies the deity of Christ.  In the comment section of my post an individual name “TaTaton90” argued against the divinity of Christ. In this post I want address this specific argument:

Jesus Christ cannot be God and be praying to himself.

Does the fact that Jesus prays to God mean that Jesus is not Divine?  I don’t think so.  Let me explain.

There’s a lot of bad arguments against the Trinity, more than I have time to fully respond to.  In one of the comments in my previous post “” there was a comment from “Alfeo piedad” that tried to argue against the Trinity:

If the trinity is true , it should have been complete from the beginning.”

I want to reply concerning the methodology behind the objection.  This objection sets up an artificial standard of proof against the Trinity in that the Trinity can only be true if the Bible has taught it completely from “the beginning.”  Here’s my reply:

Last month I posted Who Is God? Trinity Debate: Dr. James White vs Bro. Joe Ventilacion.  This was a debate between Christian apologist James White and a defender of the cult Iglesia ni Cristo.

Iglesia ni Cristo denies the deity of Christ.  In the comment section of my post an individual name Alfeo Piedad argued against the divinity of Christ. In this post I want address this specific argument:

First , John 4:24 says God is spirit and a spirit does not have a human body….1 Timothy 1:17 , praises God saying ,” …immortal, invisible ,the only God …if God has a physical body he could not be in all places at once. How can God then built a church and purchased it with His blood when the true God is invisible., is a spirit and has no flesh and blood.

John 4:24 states “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

1 Timothy 1:17 states “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Does the fact that Jesus has a human body mean that Jesus was not Divine?  I don’t think so let me explain.

Yesterday I posted Who Is God? Trinity Debate: Dr. James White vs Bro. Joe Ventilacion.  This was a debate between Christian apologist James White and a defender of the cult Iglesia ni Cristo.  Iglesia ni Cristo denies the deity of Christ.

I want to address one of the arguments that Joe Ventilacion threw out there during his opening presentation for his anti-Trinitarian position.  He bases his argument from 1 Timothy 1:17 which states:

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

From this verse’s statement that God is immortal this is what Ventilacion argues around the 59:30 minute mark:

When Christ died, did God die?  And if he were to say that the second person only died but not the first and third persons, so for three days your Trinity is incomplete!  Because two are alive and one is dead.  So how would you call that?  How would you call that?  Is it a Trinity or is it a ‘Two-inity?’  It’s up to you to make that decision.  But he has an incomplete God for the three days that Jesus died.  Why did Jesus die?  Because Jesus is not the God of the Bible.

Despite Joe Ventilacion’s smirk and laughter from the audience from Iglesia ni Cristo members in the audience to the question of “When Christ died, did God die?” it is not as strong of an argument against the Trinity as they think it is.
