Before WordPress, before Facebook and Twitter there was a blogging website called Xanga.  I was on there from November 2004 to 2008 or 2009.  Eventually it was shut down.  Was anyone else on there?

Mandy’s post on persecution got me on a tangent based upon a question Gersom Clark asked:

As Christians, what if we are persecuted, insulted, and falsely accused even if it is not because of CHRIST but simply how the world operates, will that still be covered in this Beatitude?

The specific Beatitude (Blessing) is from Matthew 5:10, which I will quote from Mandy’s post:

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matt 5:10 NIV).

A Christian asked what would be a biblical response to the following:

“To believe that Satan disguised himself as a snake in order to deceive mankind is to believe that Satan deceived God himself if God condemned snakes by cursing them to slither upon the dust of the earth without legs for a crime snakes never committed if, in fact, it was Satan disguised as one.”

Note there is a denial of the serpent being Satan in the narrative of the Fall in Genesis 3.
