This Sunday at Church I want to encourage you to do the following: Pray for the Residents of East Palestine, Ohio in light of the Train Fire Disaster.
Been hearing about this disaster of over a million gallon of toxic chemicals burned after the train derailed. They had to also burn it since there’s a risk of a massive explosion.
This event has been on my mind and heart a lot. I’m praying about it.
I’m not making this political as the focus but the news of the Federal Government’s delay in helping is rather appalling as this is a poor community who do need help and resources.
There’s been people from communities further away that also have been effected.
Let’s pray for the people in this area; the news have not covered it as much as other headlines; and this is something that has serious health risks that I think its worth praying for even after the disaster has “passed” the news cycle.
Amen brother 🙏
And amen brother Alan, have a blessed Lord’s Day in Scotland today
I will be heading out in half an hour, anticipating hearing a good sermon and meeting with Him and the brethren.😁🙏
Agreed brother! Merciful God help us all. I am so thankful our Heavenly Father cares about us! Loose your love and mighty power in this nation oh God!
I join you with the prayer! I heard the smoke And chemical clouds have also reached West Virginia; how far are you from the fire???
I am in the southern region of West Virginia! I am 277 miles from there! It is 4 hours and 11 minutes from me!
Hiya 👋 , Just wanted to let you know that you have the word ‘Residence’ in the title, it should read ‘Residents’.
Ah thank you let me fix that!
Thanks for the good exhortation. Yes, people in that community and downwind must be really concerned. The authorities are saying “everything is fine,” but there’s obviously good reason for concern.
Yeah there’s definitely healthy dose of concerns. How is your Sunday going?
Sunday is going good, thanks! We had a blessed time at church this morning and our oldest son then came over to watch a movie with my wife this afternoon while I read and blog.
How is your Sunday going?
I am praying with all the saints. It is horrific what happened.
Blessings.
Indeed it is horrific
May God have mercy. Praying for this community and all the surrounding ones affected by this disaster. It’s appalling that the federal government has denied them emergency funds to assist in the cleanup.
I agree it is appalling!
On a good note I read both yesterday and this morning things may not be as bad as we were first led to believe.
I hope that is the case for the sake of the people! Thanks for the info sister
Good prayer. Someday everything that has been concealed and covered up in life WILL be revealed, praise God. It is WAY worse than people realize or are being told.
Praying a lot. Really hope things get better for the people sake and yet I think it’s healthy to really raise concerns about the government being truthful and concerns they aren’t doing enough. Praying since it is also near your state!!
EPA is saying it is too dangerous to enter. FEMA is unwilling to help. This will have repercussions for years and will effect more than just East Palestine.
May the people of East Palestine, Ohio, all be protected from the Train Fire Disaster in Jesus name.
Amen joining you with similar prayers!!
In prayer.
Praying too! I feel bad for the people there; the government needs to do their job
Biden doesn’t like this town who voted for Trump
Truth.
So sorry to hear about this. Thanks for sharing and I will be praying 🙏 🤲
Thanks for your prayers!
You are welcome.
It is such a horrible disaster. Yes much prayers are needed
Amen prayers are needed!
Amen! As a fellow Ohioan, my prayers reach out to include the community of East Palestine. It’s a small town nestled up against the Pennsylvania border. May this community stay in touch with the Lord in the coming weeks and months.
Do you know this area brother????
My question is why did the media not start to actively report it for ten days after the burning occurred, as people who had evacuated were starting to go back home? We live “downwind” of this site, sort of. We were south of the smoke plume, but we heard nothing at the time. It was my son in Tennessee who asked if we should evacuate for us to even know about it.
Yeah the government and the media was slow on this. It shows that what’s the priority of these leaders; sickening really; could you guys smell things too??
I agree with that, but who are the ones getting sick? Oddly as a former safety director, doing a controlled burn might have been the best move, but not once the media gets a hold of it. The gas leak was a carcinogen, but if completely burned, not nearly as bad. The problem is that no one could know if the combustion was close enough to being complete to eliminate the hazard. Bad situation made worse and even worse when I have read totally conflicting news reports. A lot of misinformation.
In prayer with you
ok maybe it was mentioned somewhere
but what local ministries are there at the disaster trying to do something about it. Im sure the city has set up some shelter and supply basic needs
I’d wish I know which local ministries to support with helping the people
