Due to shortages in the supply of wheat, bad weather, as well as the increase in oil prices, food costs have increased, resulting in many countries poorest people losing ability to buy food.
Oil prices affect the cost of transporting, storing, and growing food. The article by MSNBC states that food will be affected for the next 10 years. If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, be warmed and filled,’ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
(James 2:14-17)
The next time you eat, thank the merciful God for providing you today’s daily bread.
