Outside of the blogosphere I do a lot of campus evangelism. I hear the word “safespace” and see it on campus flyers and students talking about it. Progressives seem to love talking about how the University ought to be a safespace. I don’t know if they mean what they say as this clip below demonstrate.
What happens when your safe space is the library? You speak to truth to power. Like this Asian man.
Here’s a social justice warrior that takes a stand for a place of learning. I want to say one more thing.
Back in my days in the university as a student and even today I sometimes hear the racist things that Progressives say even in fields such as Asian American studies. They say things like Asians are passive. They are passive in regards to things that are political or they are indifferent to injustice and oppression. In my previous post “Huff Po Religion Misses Important Reason Why Conservative Asian American Churches are Prolife and Pro-Family” the original Huffington Post article that I was critiquing even rehashed that mantra. Here is where I think the Left is blind sighted. They are assuming that because people don’t see the issues the way they do it must mean they are indifferent or passive. Just because a group of people aren’t caught up with “micro-agresssions,” “trigger,” etc., don’t mean they won’t stand up against real oppression.
I seem to recall that Asians have stood up against oppression even in the face of advancing tanks. Now that’s real oppression and injustice.
It’s that kind of folksy man that can halt even tanks while carrying groceries.
